New staff brought fresh ideas and energy as the staff and trustees planned next steps to make St. Bart’s even better. More details will be shared in the coming weeks. In 2023-24:Ministry by the NumbersAnnual Report - FY 2023-24 Encountering the Living God, Equipping Disciples, Engaging the WorldFamilies and Mass AttendanceSacraments Catholic Education• Our choir continued its strong tradition of excellent sacred music, and our annual Festival of Lessons and Carols drew several hundred people including many from outside our parish.• The Feast of St. Francis brought furry, feathered, and scaly friends to our parking lot for a blessing of the animals. All were blessed and well-behaved!• 84 children participated in our PreK-Grade 5 Sunday morning GIFT (Growing In Faith Together) – an increase of 23% over last year. • Attendance at weekend liturgies rose by 7.6% with 5 p.m. Sunday Mass increasing 32%. • Most of the teachers at St. Bart’s Catholic School have a tenure of more than 10 years at the school signifying a true commitment to Catholic education. • Fr. Bobby Pish joined our parish in April as an associate priest, allowing us to increase ministry opportunities.• The Backyard Bash raised more than $272,000 for our church and school.• St. Bart’s volunteers packed 61,287 meals for Feed My Starving Children.• Our parish provided 280 coats and four carloads of diapers to Holy Rosary in Minneapolis.• We upgraded our security system and added additional cameras.• Our 2023 Vacation Bible School, led by senior high students, provided 78 children with a STELLAR outer space experience that led them to increase their trust in Jesus. • After an initial training, 52 parishes met and continue to meet regularly in six small faith-sharing groups.We are grateful for your prayers, generosity, and presence. We invite you to engage using your gifts through volunteerism in our parish and our community.
