The objective is to encourage all round sporting activity, including horse riding. The event includes the following four phases: running, shooting, swimming, and riding. This spreadsheet must be signed by the Club Chief Coach and Club President/Secretary and uploaded via JotForm by Sunday, 16 March 2025 at 11:00pm

3 | P a g e CLASSES For all classes, the age of the rider is taken as at 01 January 2025. Individual classes may be split into genders where more than 3 competitors of each gender are participating. 2025 CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES There will be an individual competition in each of the 11 Championship classes. All riders in the Championship classes must meet rally qualification requirements and have uploaded a signed Declaration of Competency at the height entered. For the team competition the 95cm and 105cm classes will be combined. A team can consist of any composition of 95cm and 105cm competitors (e.g., all 95cm, all 105cm or a combination of 95 and 105cm). There will be a team competition at each jumping height, drawn from all the age classes at that jumping height. 4 | P a g e AWARDS - PONY CLUB WA CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES • Rosettes to 6th place for individual riders, saddle blankets for individual winners. • Rosettes to 4th place for team placings, rugs for the winning teams. • McCormack Family Trophy for the team with the highest combined shoot score. Riders in the Championship Classes are eligible for the following special awards: • Lucy Oorschot Trophy - for the female athlete with the highest combined run and swim score in the 95cm and 105cm Championship Classes. • Highest scoring shooter (7m, 10m). • Highest scoring swimmer (2 minutes, 4 minutes). • Highest scoring runner (1000m, 2000m). • Highest scoring rider (45cm SJ, 45cm XC, 65cm, 80cm, 95-105cm). Awarded to the rider with a score of 1400 points and the fastest gate time. • All thoroughbreds and standardbreds bred for the purpose of racing that compete in the Championship classes qualify for the Off the Track Award. When entering you will be asked to provide the Off the Track passport number and racing name for your horse. Please ensure you have registered your horse on JustGo on your rider profile and through credentials to be eligible for the OTT Award. TETRATHLON LEADERBOARD All Leaderboard enquiries are to be directed to the State Office: membership@ponyclubwa.asn.au Pony Club WA Leaderboard points will be awarded as per The Leaderboard Information Pack on the Pony Club WA website. 2025 STATE TETRATHLON OPEN RIDER CLASSES The WA State Championship will offer Open Rider classes at each jumping height. Classes will only have individual competitions. 5 | P a g e STATE TETRATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION QUALIFICATION PERIOD Horse/rider combinations in the championship classes must have attended a minimum of three Working Rallies in the 12 months prior to 16 March 2025, unless the rider has their C*/K certificate then two rally qualification will apply. Please note the updated Rally Qualification criteria: Where qualifications for pony club activities are required such as National/State/Zone competition or Proficiency Certificate assessments, the riding member and horse combination must: 1.1 attend a minimum of three hours at three separate Working Rallies within the 12-month period required by the event or competition, two of which must be at the club at which they are a member; 1.2 participate in at least one ridden session at each Working Rally; 1.3 if riding two horses at a Working Rally, participate in at least one ridden session on each horse; and 1.4 if a riding member has achieved their C*/K Proficiency Certificate then a two rally qualification will apply. A maximum of two horses/ponies may be ridden by one rider at any Working Rally **Event qualifications will be required for the 2026 State Tetrathlon Championships** The Chairperson and committee members do not have the authority to accept late entries The organiser reserves the right: • To cancel any class or event • To divide or combine any class • To transfer competitors between sections of a class • To alter the advertised times • To refuse any entry, with or without stating the reason Neither the Organising Committee of the event to which these rules apply, nor Pony Club Western Australia Inc accepts any liability for any accident, damage, injury, or illness to horses, riders, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. PAYMENT SCHEDULE Pony Club WA Rider (All Classes) / Open Rider $95 per Competitor Ground Fee $10 per Horse/Rider Combination First Aid Levy $15 per Competitor Total $120 per Competitor Optional - Saturday Night Meal $15 per Meal MEALS Wallangarra Riding & Pony Club will be running a canteen on Saturday and Sunday to provide a range of food. A two-course meal is available to pre order for dinner on Saturday night for $15 per person.

6 | P a g e YARDS A very limited number of enclosed yards are available, these can be booked by regional competitors camping at the grounds by emailing donna.black@me.com. Tie up pens are available and free for single day use. CAMPING & SHOWERS Please indicate on your Online Entry if you will be camping for the weekend, there is no charge, and the information will greatly assist the committee in planning to accommodate the required number of campers. One male and one female hot shower is available at the grounds, please shower before arriving or at the pool on Saturday if possible. TEAMS • Teams can be of four or three riders. • Teams can be made up of riders of any age who are jumping the same height. Clubs may nominate a team or teams in any jump height where they have sufficient competitors. Please provide the team’s name on the Club Rally Endorsement Spreadsheet. • The 95cm and 105cm classes will be combined for the team event. • If a club does not have enough riders for a team, where possible composite teams will be formed. HORSES The ‘one horse, one rider rule’ will apply for all classes, e.g., horses may be entered for one class only and may not be entered in any other class. RIDERS Riders may only compete in one class. Championship Riders must be current financial Junior or Senior Members with Pony Club WA. Open Riders are riders 18 years or over as of 01 January 2025 and are current financial members with Pony Club WA in one of the following categories: • Adult Member • Top-Up Member • Open Rider Member SHOOTING The pool pistols provided for the competition will be calibrated to the sub 6 o’clock position. This means that the pistols are set to hit above the point of aim (e.g., if you aim below the bullseye, you should hit the bullseye. This is done as it is easier to accurately line up the sights when you have a white background.) Competitors are allowed to use their own laser pistol. Pistols will be inspected prior to use and must be a UIPM endorsed laser pistol and have no modifications to the standard issue barrel or trigger.

7 | P a g e CLUB COORDINATOR Each Club must nominate a Club Coordinator. • A zoom briefing meeting will be held in the week prior to the event for all Club Coordinators. • The purpose of the zoom meeting is to distribute information and provide a forum for queries and clarifications. • Club Coordinators must supply a mobile phone number which they can be always contacted on during the event. • The Club Coordinator has replaced the Team Manager role. • Individuals will collect their own bib numbers. HELPER DUTIES • Nominated helpers are asked to complete two helper duties, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. This will ensure that all helper duties are short, and parents are able to support their own child during the riding phase. • Each competitor must provide a helper (16 years and over) capable of performing any rostered duty. • Helper duty preferences can be nominated with the rider’s entry, allocation of helper duties will be completed by the organising committee. • One helper cannot be the designated helper for more than two competitors.

8 | P a g e WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK A WWC Check is required by a person if they engage in certain paid or unpaid work with children, described as ‘child-related work’ under the WWC Act. Volunteers engaged in helper duties at Pony Club WA State Championships where the usual duties involve, or are likely to involve, contact with a child, such as Team Manager, Gear Checking, Marshalling will be required to have a current WWCC unless a parent exemption applies. Parent exemption applies if you are volunteering and have a child under the age of 18 actively involved in the event you are volunteering at. PONY CLUB WA – NO DOG POLICY This is a Pony Club WA event, and the policy of NO DOGS will be strictly adhered to. Failure to abide by this policy may result in the elimination of rider(s). Assistance animals approved by the Department of Local Government; Sport & Cultural Industries are exempt from this rule. Persons with an Assistance Animal may be requested to provide their approval documentation. SWABBING Pony Club WA adheres to a policy of random swabbing at our State competitions.
