Increased enrollment, population growth, and changes in familydynamics have all contributed to shifting traffic patterns and safety needs. In response, and in partnership with the Merced Police Department, each school hasundergone a comprehensive parking lot and site safety assessment. These evaluationsfocused on the effectiveness of current traffic controls, including stop signs, crosswalks, street markings, and designated pick-up and drop-off areas. The goal is to ensurestudent safety during arrival and dismissal times by identifying areas of improvementand implementing updated traffic flow strategies where necessary. We are pleased tomove forward in partnership with the City of Merced to undergo improvements thatsupport the safety of current and future MCSD students.ARelationships&COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTOPPORTUNITIES Coffee with the SuperintendentTown Hall MeetingsLCAP Forums8255Boundary Adjustment Meetings4
