As we reflect on a remarkable year, we extend our heartfeltgratitude to each and every one of you for your ongoing supportand contributions to Club throughout 2023. This past year hasbeen a time of transition and relationship building, and we areimmensely grateful for the collaborative spirit of our incredibleMembers.The successful partnership between our membership and ournew owners, Century Golf Partners and HKI America, has usheredin a new era of progress and opportunity for the Club. We havetransitioned the Club from a “Hotel managed club” to a “Clubmanaged in partnership with our Members”. Together, we have enjoyed and celebrated numerousimprovements, from upgraded facilities to dedicated Club staffto new and enhanced services, all aimed at elevating your overallclub experience. Tonya brings a wealth of expertise to our fitness department,promising innovative programs and a commitment to health andwellness. Jessie, as our Service Director, ensures a seamlessexperience for our Members with his highly service-orientedapproach. Dramatic upgrades in the quality of our Golfdepartment led by James Williams Jr., an ever-progressing Food& Beverage department reinvention led by Frank Horton andChef Jimmy De La Cruz, a Racquets department that reached“Full with a Wait List” status led by Jerome Millet, the new ChrisComo Golf Academy led by Jack Daneshmand (2023 NorthTexas Instructor of the Year) and lastly but not least, our GolfCourse Maintenance leadership team that has been the envy ofthe DFW area providing outstanding turf conditions during avery difficult 2023 growing season – thank you Landon Lindsey,Josh Ziemba, Brad Willis and Nick Tepera. All of these leadersfocused on improving the quality of their respectivedepartments and ultimately creating pride in being a Member ofthe Club!Our G o l f A g r o n o m y L e a d e r s h i pWe take great pride in announcing the outstandingachievements of our Director of Agronomy, Landon Lindsay.Landon has been honored with the prestigious NationalEnvironmental Leaders in Golf Award by the Golf CourseSuperintendent Association of America. This esteemed recognition underscores his commitment toenvironmental stewardship and represents his dedication tomaintaining our golf courses with sustainability as a priority. Theaward, bestowed upon him at the National GCSAA show thisJanuary, reflects Landon's exceptional leadership and innovativepractices.
IIn addition to celebrating Landon's achievements, we extendheartfelt congratulations to Josh Ziemba on his well-deservedpromotion to Superintendent of Cottonwood Valley Golf Course.Congratulations to Landon and Josh on these well-earnedachievements!C l u b I m p r o v e m e n t sSince the ownership change, the Club has received a remarkabletransformation with over $5M invested in capital repairs,replacements and improvements in our first 14-months. Thiscomprehensive improvement effort addressed numerousaspects of the Club, including renovation and new equipment tothe fitness center, tennis courts and the introduction of newpickleball courts. Moreover, the driving range saw not just a totalreconstruction of the tee and target areas, but a commitment toa major technological upgrade with the incorporation ofTrackman technology, offering Members an advanced andinteractive golf experience. These strategic investmentsunderscore our commitment to providing a cutting-edge anddiverse scope of amenities, ensuring the Club remains at theforefront of excellence in the ever-evolving club experience. P l a n s & F o c u s f o r 2 0 2 4Now that the majority of the Fitness Center expansion andrenovation are complete we will move on to the Clubhouse andthe renovations and expansion of our Member Dining spaces.This will be our major project for 2024 into 2025. We haveinvested significant time and effort receiving input from ourBoard of Governors, Committee Members, Members-at-large,Team Members and club design experts. We have also beenanalyzing member usage patterns, seasonality, and Dallas-areahospitality trends. We engaged numerous architects, designers,contractors and consultants to develop various program optionsfor the Club and are preparing to present clubhouse and patioplans to our Members in April.Golf Course Tee Signs & Yardage MarkersWater & Ice Machines on both Golf Courses Cart Path Repair & Replacements Kid’s Club Outdoor Turf LED Tennis Court Lights Pickleball Shade & Screening Security Video cameras for property Lap Pool Replastering & New Pump System Valet Parking & On-site Car Wash Services & many other “little things” projects
On top of the clubhouse renovations we will spend another $1Min needed infrastructure repairs and replacements throughoutthe property. This will include many of the “little things” that weoutlined in our previous communications to enhance ourattention to details that we understand mean a great deal to ourMember’s. Some of these items include cart path replacementson the golf courses, major plumbing repairs and replacementsunderneath our building, drainage in and around the building,parking lot repairs, driving range accessories and equipment, newfront security gate system, water heater and HVAC upgrades,golf course bridge repairs, locker room furniture, new Nelsonsignage throughout the property, furniture and equipment forRacquets and additional security cameras for the property. D u e s A d j u s t m e n tAs we continue to strive for excellence in providing exceptionalfacilities and services, we wish to remind you of the upcoming2024 monthly dues adjustment. During the transition ofownership, it was communicated through the Member Town Hallmeetings that we, along with the Acquisition Committee haddetermined the necessity to align our monthly dues with currentmarket pricing to make it feasible to implement many neededimprovements. We committed to making these adjustmentsover a 3-year period. Beginning March 1st, each category ofMembership will experience an increase as part of this plan.
