That objective was realized at our first Rural Mental Health Wellness Day. Highlights included keynote speakers, familiar to the community, Chris Koch and Jody Seeley whochatted about living your best life and ways to support your family and friends with “How’s Your5?”, five simple questions to start conversations and help each other with everyday challenges.“How’s Your 5” is about getting beyond “I’m Fine.” How many times have you asked someone“How are you?” and they answered “fine” or “good,” ending the conversation? Asking “How’s Your5?” is more specific. Asking “How’s Your 5?” will begin conversations about work, love, play, sleepand nourishment. Sharing our challenges and successes can lead to creative solutions to help livehealthier lives. In addition, the Health and Wellness Fair offered a variety of local service providers such ascounsellors, agencies and wellness programs. “We are thrilled to have two relatively new Provincialgroups be a part of the Fair, Agknow who’s vision is to create a shift in farming and ranching cultureto one where caring for mental health is a natural part of farm life. In addition, My Kick Stand whohelp young people across Alberta find support in the easiest way possible by providing a variety ofservices and resources in one location, noted Foundation Executive Director Wendy Kennelly.
