I always wonderwhat it would be like to move freelywithout having to careif I bump into anything.Today, I will nd out.Because it is the day of the marathon.I clutch the leash of my guide dog,and stand on the start line.I hear shufing shoes and people giving high ves.A booming voice startles me."On your mark, get set, go!"1 2

I must be passing by the park.I hear the creaking swing and the squeals of children that fade and come back around.I wonder where the swing takes them.Maybe far up where the clouds are?5 6

The splashing sound of mad water. There must be a fountain near me.I wonder what would happen if I accidentally fell in.Will great white sharks be at the bottom, waiting to bite me?Or maybe I'll ride the orcas, all the way to the sea.I feel the cushiony grass underneath my feet, and imagine I sink far far into the ground.Would there be a hidden city, with people like me?7 8

Running freely was not as good as I thought. It feels like I'm lost forever, with nowhere to go.Did I end up in a deep dark forest?Where did everyone go?The smell of owers tickles my nose.I hear buzzing bees go by.They must be lost too, I suppose.11 12

Do you hear that? From left and right people shout, "Go, go, go!"The end seems near. The others only see the nish line, and run like horses on a racetrack, because no one wants to be last. 13 14
