SPRAYBERRY HIGH SCHOOL Cobb County School District Sara Fetterman Principal Excellence our Tradition Diversity our Strength Success our Mission August 3 2022 Sprayberry Families We have had a wonderful start to the school year at Sprayberry High School Over the past few months our coaches and players have demonstrated their dedication to the school and their sport during Spring and Summer workouts Our coaches have focused on toughness speed and strength to create a team of well prepared athletes that will enter the stadium on Friday nights this fall Our students are prepared to take on formidable opponents and the coaches have helped to build a team environment that will benefit the players both on and off the field We continue to support our student athletes in the classroom and on the field The existing weight room was renovated this summer and we have purchased new weight equipment to ensure that our athletes receive the highest quality athletic experience that we can provide We are excited that our weight room will be open to our athletes this fall The benefit of athletic participation is unbelievably valuable to our students The athletic environment provides our students with an opportunity to work as a team to reach a common goal and their involvement in our high school athletic programs will help them to become better team members in all of their future endeavors I am confident that this team will have an amazing season and I look forward to another successful year in Sprayberry athletics Go Jackets Sincerely Sara Fetterman Principal 3

Hustle Attitude Respect and Discipline Brett Vavra Sprayberry Football Head Coach Dear Sprayberry Community In my 6th season as Sprayberry s proud head football coach I want to welcome you to the 2022 football season Our football program has done some great things in the last three seasons including 2 trips to the playoffs and a 2nd round appearance in 2020 After the 2020 season our program graduated over 20 seniors with many of them competing at the college level today Outside of 2 games our team competed extremely well and had an opportunity to win every game Through offseason workouts burst training and offensive and defensive meetings leadership meetings and re establishing the standard of our culture our players have shown tremendous physical and mental growth Since the 2021 football season the program has renovated the entire weight room which includes over 5000 square feet of space 20 new workstations new bars new bumper plates and a plethora of new equipment that will help improve the strength and conditioning program The program has also purchased new helmets and alternative gold uniforms for our players for a rst class look The administration along with the booster club has demonstrated commitment to improving and running a rst class program Our mantra for the 2022 season is H A R D H A R D is an acronym that stands for Hustle Attitude Respect and Discipline We will hustle in everything that we do and always give great effort We will display a good attitude even when things are not going well We will always respect each other and our opponent And lastly we will be disciplined in all that we do on and off the eld It is a mentality that we have developed since the end of last season through our offseason conditioning program work in the weight room and practice throughout the spring and summer It has become a mindset our athletes have bought into Our players will demonstrate these qualities on and off the eld and we believe this will help lead to success I want to thank our Principal Sara Fetterman and Athletic Director Phil Henderson for their continued support for our football program We look forward to an incredible 2022 football season and making our school and community proud I would also like to thank our parents booster club and the business community for all your time effort and moral and nancial support to help make this program special Go Jackets H A R D Sincerely Coach Vavra 10
