We are looking forward to celebrating National Poetry Month with you again or maybe for the first time We have received a great response for Soapbox Poetry 2015 and have created a loose schedule based on all of the requests and days needed to fill What Soapbox Poetry will occur every weekday in April promptly at 5pm on the front porch of The Betsy South Beach located at 1440 Ocean Drive Two poets or more will read 2 poems each one penned by you the poet and one from a poet who inspires you This typically takes no more than 10 to 15 minutes Parking Metered Parking is available on the street usually available just north of The Betsy at Ocean Drive and 15th There is also a parking garage located around the corner at 16th and Collins Arrival Please plan to arrive 10 or 15 minutes before 5pm and let Front Desk know that you have arrived Either myself or someone from our team will welcome you and get you set up on the front porch for the reading If you are unable to attend for any reason please try to let us know ahead of time Audience We try to build an audience on the street with friends employees and passers by but you are encouraged to invite your friends and fans The more of an audience there is the better it will be for the poet and the poetry Schedule The schedule is attached If you are unable to participate on the scheduled day please contact Jean immediately The calendar is also posted at http www betsywritersroom com event history upcoming events More Information We have added a page to our blog at The Betsy Writer s Room with some information and a video from a past Soapbox Poetry A link to our registration form can be found there as well please feel free to share the page we are in need of a few more poets to fill the month Until then Deborah Pablo Jean Jessica The Marketing Philanthropy Team The Writer s Room at The Betsy South Beach QUESTIONS CONCERNS Contact Jean at 305 760 6902 office 305 890 9627 cell or jean thebetsyhotel com
