Total Equity is the sum of the Cash Balance plus the Total Value of Longs. The Total Equity is the number that is used to determine rankings.Net Equity Gain/Loss is your total gain or loss over the starting balance of $100,000Buying Power is the total amount of money available for purchases and short sales. It is updated nightly. Estimated intraday buying power is shown on the trade preview screenCash Balance is total cash available, including dividends, interest, and proceeds from the sale of stock, mutual funds and bonds. A negative balance represents the amount borrowed on margin.

The Portfolio Summary chart and graph provides a morning snapshot of your holdings breakdown across asset classes and your portfolio performance since the beginning of the SMG session. Easily toggle between asset classes using the radio buttons.This section provides a general overview of where student portfolios stand each morning.

The Equity Positions table displays current long or short positions in stocks and mutual funds. Tickers that are held at the start of the day appear in white rows (no fill), while intraday positions are highlighted in yellow.Important Note: If a position is closed in its entirety (zero remaining shares), an intraday entry will not display. The beginning position will remain in the table and drop-off the following business day. If a position is sold partially the net balance will display as an intraday entry (beginning quantity 100 shares, sell 25, the intraday entry will display 75).

At the start of each trading day, there will be no intraday positions displayed. The rows with a white background represent the stocks you hold at the beginning of the day. As intraday transactions occur, the intraday position rows will begin to display. CREG, DKNG, and NVDA represent intraday positions. The associated quantity is the current net position held in that stock. A negative represents a short position. If the position is closed out intraday, the entry will drop from the table. If it is partially closed, the net balance will display.

In this example, the portfolio began the day with 200 shares in symbol CREG as represented by the two 100 share purchases on 5/10/22 at the bottom of the Equity Positions table. On 9/5/23, 100 shares of CREG were sold resulting in a new intraday position of 100 as shown in the top row of the table. Important Note: Cost basis is currently not available for intraday positions because it represents aggregate shares owned, which may have occurred through multiple transactions, each at a different cost basis.

The columns with the blue headers represent estimated values based on estimated intraday pricing information provided by Polygon.Current Price refreshes dynamically every few seconds. As it updates, the Price Change, Market Value, and Gain/Loss columns will recalculate. *Price Change represents the percentage change between the Current Price and the Previous Close price. Use the trade button to navigate directly to the trade screen the ticker pre-loaded
