WHAT IS SMART LIVING, LEARNING & EARNINGWITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES (SLLEDD)?SLLEDD is a 22-week pilot program designed tosupport adults with developmental disabilities inCorvallis to build life skills for greater opportunities.Through tailored and strength-based support,participants will develop life skills, build socialconnections, and gain self-confidence.

WHAT MAKES SLLEDD UNIQUE? Based on the Smart Living,Learning & Earning with Autism(SLLEA) curriculum developed inEugene, SLLEDD has beenthoughtfully adapted by The Arcof Benton County to meet thediverse needs of localparticipants. The curriculum isdesigned to offer multiple modesof learning and is individualized tosupport the strengths and needsof neurodiverse learners. SLLEDD provides tools toempower adults withdevelopmental disabilities tobuild greater independence,strengthen self-advocacy skills,and promote meaningfulconnections through topics suchas Wellness, SocialConnections, CommunityResources, Money Management& Benefits Management.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONSSafe behavior at all timesHave some foundational skills and are ready tobuild on themWilling to learn and commit to a minimum of 8hours per week to fully engage in the programCOSTThe SLLEDD pilot program is funded by a generousgrant from Fairview Trust and a Corvallis CommunityDevelopment Block Grant (CDBG). Your participationin the pilot is at no charge to you. ELIGIBILITYAdults aged 21+ (possible exceptions for ages 18-21)Must reside within the city of CorvallisIndividuals with a developmental disability, with or without DD servicesSelf-motivated individuals

ABOUT OUR LEARNING SPACESSessions will occur at The Arc’s Learning Center atBenton Plaza and throughout the community whereparticipants will engage in hands-on learningexperiences.
