Hosting an International Student is an enriching and rewarding experience Experience new and exciting family dynamics Become a young person’s “home away from home” Learn about other cultures and traditions Create relationships that last a lifetime What are Requirements for Hosting?SISP is looking for loving families who are enthusiastic to share their lives and home with an international student. The requirements for hosting are: Living in the Claremont, Parkland or Stelly’s Secondary Schools catchment area A private bedroom for the student Three nutritious meals a day, plus healthy snacks English must be the language spoken at home Treat your student as a family member Who Can Host? SISP welcomes host families of all shapes, sizes, ages and cultures to the Host Family Community! Singles Couples Families with children of all ages Empty nesters RetireesContact the Homestay Team if you are interested!Who Will You Host?SISP welcomes students from all over the world to Saanich. Students are: Here for 4, 5 or 10 months – or to graduate! Attending Claremont, Parkland or Stelly’s Secondary Schools In grades 9-12 Eager to experience Canadian life and cultureWhat Do You Receive? SISP values its Host Family Community. Among the ongoing support you would receive, is: A Monthly Honorarium – Increasing July 1, 2023!
