The 4th Annual Robert Smalls Men & Women of Action Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration will take placefrom June 1st to June 21st and is sponsored by the Project Freedom 326 group. The primary event will bepreceded by several events that start on June 1, 2024, at 1003 Washington Street Park, Beaufort, SC 29902. OnJune 16, 2024, Washington Street Park will host our 4th Annual King's Day: Father's Day Cookout to cap upthe celebrations. (The complete agenda is on page 6.)The opening ceremony is scheduled for June 14, 2024, on Friday, at 5:00 PM. On Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 3pm the major event will take place. With our Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration, we seek to raiseawareness of the Lowcountry's rich cultural and historical heritage. With One Community: Different Neighborhoods as this year's theme, we intend to both increase tourism inthe area and unite residents of the many neighborhoods in a celebration of love, peace, joy, hope, and unity.We are asking local businesses, churches, and people to sponsor us by advertising our Juneteenth 2024journal.
