LOUIS JADOT CÔTE D'OR BURGUNDIESPommardWith Volnay to the south and Beaune tothe north, Pommard is situated on an east-and southeast-facing slope between 240and 380 meters above sea level with ahigh-clay, calcareous soil. The grapes arehandpicked and sorted, then undergofermentation. After a long maceration, aproportion of the wine is set to age inFrench oak barrels. The wine is bottledwithout fining or filtration.Pommard is often considered the most“masculine” Côte de Beaune red. This is afirm, full-bodied wine that is neverthelessexceptionally round and generous, with afruity depth of character and earthyaromas and flavors.Gevrey-ChambertinLouis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin wines areproduced from vineyards lying on theextension of the slope on which the Grandsand Premiers Crus are situated. The fruit issourced from growers with whom LouisJadot holds purchase agreements basedon the quality of the harvest each year. Thegrapes are handpicked and sorted, thenundergo fermentation. Aft er a longmaceration, a proportion of the wine is setto age in French oak barrels. The wine isbottled without fining or f iltration.Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin reflects thequality characteristics of the commune—deep color with a multifaceted berry andred fruit bouquet, a full tannic structure anda mellow texture that carries into a lastingfinish.

LOUIS JADOT CÔTE D'OR BURGUNDIESChablis Premier Cru 2020In recent years Jadot has increased focus in Chablis, adding a new winery in 2019and stabilizing the range from village through premier cru and grand cru. This wineadds value and flexibilit y by blending across multiple premier cru sources to achieve awine that exemplifies a comprehensive Chablis character. Careful management of themalolactic fermentation, and aging in oak but only partially new barrels, produces awine of vibrant energy, s oil -driven intensity, and graceful citrus nuances.HARVEST NOTEThe 2020 vintage was quite early, as the growth cycle commenced with a warmperiod in late winter which was followed by a hot and dry summer. There were a fewwell-timed rains which moderated the drought conditions and relieved the vines.There were no diseases to contend with and the fruit arrived in a perfectly healthystate. Despite the heat alcohol levels are quite moderate, while acidity was retained.These are wines with lovely balance, a hint of tension, and which are capable ofaging.TASTING NOTEAromas of musk, damp earth, white flowers and melon are followed by a suppletexture lifted with subtle acidity. J adot, as a leading producer of the region, hasembraced this advance in a unique manner. This wine is composed of grapes frommultiple unique sites newly elevated to Premier Cru. Mountain fruit rounds out the blendadding complexity and depth. Grapes are c hilled to 40°F to preserve freshness and grapestru cture integrity, then sorted by cluster and berry beforeundergoing a three- to five-day cold soak. Careful yeastselection and an even, moderate-temperature fermentationare key in maintaining the wine’s sense of p lace.
