St. Charles Convention Center | Summary of Accomplishments 10Summary ofAccomplishmentsGross revenues for 2023 nished at $8.9M, $451K ahead of budget. This is the highest annual revenue in the history of the SCCC, including three months that exceeded $1M in gross revenue. The past year has marked a remarkable period of success for the Center, driven by several key factors. The establishment of multi-year contracts not only demonstrates the stability and reliability of our services, but also reects the trust and condence our clients place in our oerings over an extended period. The presence of a signicant number of repeat clients, 70%, underscores our ability to consistently meet and exceed expectations, fostering lasting partnerships and arming the quality of our events. Additionally, the successful execution of larger events showcases our capacity to manage increased scale and complexity, positioning us as a leader in the industry. The collective success reects not only the strength of our business model but also our commitment to delivering exceptional value, fostering enduring relationships, and excelling in the organization and execution of events. The trend of lling open positions continued into 2023. More full-time Food and Beverage associates were hired in positions that were unfullled during the previous years. The fullled positions will decrease the need for temporary labor and save money. OVG360 recently invested in Placer.ai for all of the company’s Convention Centers. Placer.ai is a location analytics company that collects geolocation data from mobile devices to analyze foot trac and create consumer proles to help make marketing and ad spending decisions. The Center will be able to elevate brand awareness by leveraging social media, content marketing, and online advertising to increase visibility. Targeted digital advertising will be used on platforms like Google Ads and social media to reach specic industries by using data-driven advertising. Show promoters can utilize data to monitor attendees’ geographic destination, economic impact, and compare attendance to previous events.

St. Charles Convention Center | Mission & Sustainability 12Mission &SustainabilityIn 2023, the St. Charles Convention Center focused more on sustainability through our composting system. While the system has been in place since 2011, 2023 saw a new diligence to composting. We were more strict with what was composted, making sure to not throw away food waste that should be composted. Because of this dedication, the SCCC set a new record of annual waste, composting 92,579 pounds more than last year. With the newfound focus, we sent 144,886 pounds of waste to be composted. This diverted 59.9 tons in CO2 emissions, 276% more than 2022. The St. Charles Convention Center also recyled 12,460 pounds of old equipment, including pumps, motors, and electronics that were no longer of use to the building. St. Charles Convention Center | Helping Hands for the Holidays 14Helping Handsfor the HolidaysHelping Hands for the Holidays was created in 2008 to provide assistance to members of the St. Charles Community that might need the support. Thanks to donators, exhibitors, and sponsors, the 2023 event welcomed more than 750 guests to the Convention Center to enjoy a new coat, personal care items, a warm holiday meal, and so much more. Each year, the Helping Hands Committee discusses what went well the previous year and what can be improved upon to create a more well rounded experience. This year, one thing that was vastly improved was the donation process. The Committee utilized building and community partners to get donation drop boxes in several locations throughout the county, including: Embassy Suites, St. Charles City Hall, St. Charles Fire Station #4, St. Charles Police Station, New Frontier Bank, Barnes Jewish St. Peters, and Guild Mortgage. With ten locations to drop o coats, we were able to collect 883 coats, 763 of which went home to a new owner at the event. Leftover coats were donated to Compass Health.

Page 15

St. Charles Convention Center | Helping Hands for the Holidays 15As popular as the coats are, personal care items are just as important to Helping Hands attendees. Thanks to incredibly generous donations from Dollar General and Sam’s Club, we handed out over 3,500 personal care items, including shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, toilet paper, diapers, and feminine products. We also had 16 local organizations join the event as exhibitors. Groups such as the Community & Children’s Resource Board of St. Charles and Habitat for Humanity were on site at the event handing out goodies as well as information on their resources, such as Medicaid, Section 8 Housing, WIC, rental assistance, and more. We also had local businesses such as Gabe’s and Dollar General handing out job applications. Barnes Jewish Hospital was on site conducting health screenings for guests as well. CAPS of St. Charles County was also a great partner, in running their own donation drives and volunteering their time for Helping Hands. 2023’s Helping Hands for the Holidays also wouldn’t have been the success it was without the very generous monetary donations from i3 Broadband and Gabe’s. While the St. Charles Convention Center is so thankful for our community and partners that contribute what they can, monetary donations help us put on the best possible event for the community.
