The product development, agronomist, and quality teams take part in a formal procedure before introducing new varieties and crops to our product line. We evaluate everything from productivity and consistency, to how well the variety holds its color. This way we’re ensuring we have the best crops available before mass producing it.Vase life testing is managed by specialized engineers to evaluate every ower variety’s performance by species, farm, and greenhouse on a monthly basis. By having a perpetual ow of information, we can identify and react very quickly to diseases and pests.Quality control agronomist engineers specialize in, and are responsible for, tracking one specic variety of ower from harvest onwards. Our senior agronomists are responsible for setting parameters for each ower type.Cut stage of all owers is kept consistent by cutting seven days per week, 52 weeks a year.Humidity chambers are used to test the effectiveness of our treatments against phytosanitary conditions, bacteria, and fungi on a weekly basis. To do this, we subject some owers to a controlled environment (100% humidity, darkness, and temperatures around 75ºF) to develop pathogens, fungi, and/or bacteria.Quality supervisors are present at every farm, every day to ensure the standardized parameters are met in our greenhouses and post-harvest facilities. Our quality is the foundation for our business and culture. Stringent quality standards are set at every point in our supply chain. WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT? NEW CROPSPHYTOSANITARY CONTROLVASE LIFE PARAMETERS QUALITY STANDARDS CUT STAGE Supervisors are assigned at each production line to ensure our bouquets and arrangements are made according to our QC parameters. They are responsible for monitoring processes and nal products and registering results in check lists, which are then used to analyze information and give feedback.Engineers facilitate pack tests to ensure that the product is packed in the appropriate box to avoid mechanical damage. We mandate monthly training seminars for all of our employees at the farms to reinforce our stringent standards at every level.TRAINING CONSTRUCTION PACKING Quality Control

Two of our warehouses are U.S. Customs bonded. This allows us to receive and process our airway bills in a fast and efcient way, by helping to keep the integrity of our cold chain and our products. As soon as it lands in Miami, our product is transferred directly from the plane and down the street to our facilities, which are less than one mile away from the airport. The cold chain is immediately restored upon arrival at our facilities. The bond allows us to process our owers while being inspected by customs. Most importantly, the bond speeds up the processing time of our product by up to 24 hours during holidays! Another benet is that the inspectors at our facilities are familiar with handling and processing our product, thus eliminating the time it gets held up in the potential fumigation process.U.S. Customs and Border Protection agricultural specialist inspecting product at the Miami International Airport. Our Miami Customs bonded onsite inspection room.U.S. CUSTOMS BONDAs soon as the owers arrive in Miami, each pallet is immediately pre-cooled in one of our forced air cooling units.Currently, we have 50 positions of forced air coolers that pre-cool a pallet in just 18 minutes.PRE-COOLING PROCESSOperations
