II Reading the Unit Card 1 UNIT NAME Legendary units have red banners They are stronger than normal but are worth 2 VP tokens instead of 1 when defeated 1 UNIT NAME 2 2 2 5 2 COMBAT STATS ATK is how much damage this unit deals with ATK their attack counter attack or follow up attack A unit with higher SPD will perform a follow SPD up attack during combat DEF is subtracted from the amount of damage DEF a unit takes from attacks counter attacks and follow up attacks Units with the Shapeshifter tag are deployed with a Shapestone While a unit has their Shapestone they use their shapeshifted stats shown in a smaller stat window next to their base stats 2 3 UNIT TAG S 6 SKILL DESCRIPTION 4 4 5 3 UNIT TAG S A unit s additional trait s Most tags are passive improvements to a unit but some also grant the unit an Assist ability See page 16 for a full list of tags and their effects 4 MAP STATS Cardinal directions only Represents the number of spaces away a unit may attack counter attack or follow RNG up attack an enemy unit Range is not counted diagonally MOV Represents the number of spaces a unit may move UP to Movement cannot be diagonal 5 UNIT COLOR You can only deploy 1 unit of each color in its matching unit slot A unit s color is used in the weapon triangle Pg 15 Gray units can be deployed in any slot 6

Page 7

6 SKILL DESCRIPTION Every unit has a unique skill The color of the skill name box indicates the type of skill Passive Assist or Special PASSIVE Passive Abilities are always in effect Conditions for a passive are always checked when relevant When an ability refers to an Ally unit it does not refer to itself only the other units you have deployed ASSIST A unit can spend their action to use their Assist Ability Pg 13 Once used resolve the Assist Ability as written While Assist Abilities tend to target a friendly unit and have a beneficial effect some can be offensive as well SPECIAL A unit with a Special Ability SA is deployed with a SA token Special Abilities Pg 12 can be used similarly to Assists but the unit must spend their SA token to do so Once used resolve the Special Ability as written Special Abilities have a wide range of effects The effect of an ability always superceeds the rules of the game Some SAs are Reactions these specials can be activated at any time as long as the requirement for it has been met Reaction specials still remove the unit s SA token and thus can only be used once per unit However they do not use up their unit s action and can be used even during your opponent s turn as long as its requirement was met 7 7

III Taking Your Turn Start of Turn Gain 1 Anna Coin Ready all of your Exhausted units During Your Turn During your turn you may perform any of the following turn actions in any order They are described in more detail later Deploy a unit only once per turn Activate a Ready unit then exhaust it Pay 1 coin to discard a unit card first is free Pay 1 coin to shift a Gray unit s slot Buy a Shop Card Use a Shop Card Use a Dragon Vein Effect Once you begin a turn action it cannot be interrupted EX Once you activate a unit you cannot take other actions until the unit finishes taking it s move and action Deploying a Unit Once per turn you may deploy a unit card by playing a it from your hand into an unoccupied unit slot matching that unit s color then placing your meeple of the corresponding color into an unoccupied map tile in your deployment zone Gray units can be deployed to any unoccupied unit slot You may only have one Gray unit You may only have one Legendary unit Units are deployed Exhausted Therefore a newly deployed unit cannot be activated on the same turn it was deployed If the unit has a Special Ability they are deployed with a SA token If the unit has the Shapeshifter tag they are deployed with a Shapestone Whenever you have less than 6 Unit Cards in your hand draw back up to 6 cards 8

Page 9

Turn Actions Explained Activate a Ready unit then exhaust it Move a unit up to its MOV value then perform one unit action Pg 12 Pay 1 Anna Coin to discard a card The first discard on your turn is free Draw back up to 6 Unit Cards afterwards Pay 1 coin to shift a Colorless Unit Gray units can be deployed in any unoccupied unit slot but you can only have 1 Gray unit deployed at a time You may move your deployed Gray unit from one unit slot to another unoccupied unit slot by paying 1 Anna Coin Buy a Shop Card Pay the cost on the back of the shop card in Anna Coins and add it to your hand Deal a new shop card to Anna s Shop Use a Shop Card 3 types Item Resolve effect then discard Reaction Can only be played when its condition is met Resolve effect immediately then discard Attachment Place beneath a ally deployed unit and give it the attachment s effect Remove it if a new attachment is played for the same unit or if the unit is discarded Dragon Vein Crystals DV DV can be earned in two ways Earn 1 when your unit is defeated Earn 2 if it is the second unit defeated on the same turn Earn 1 when an opponent captures a castle DV can be spent in 3 ways 1 DV Move or place your DV Map Tile DV Map Tiles can only be placed in a space without units or other DV Map Tiles DV Map Tiles cannot be moved if a unit currently occupies the tile DV Map Tiles can be placed on Castle Tiles preventing them from being captured DV Map Tiles cannot be placed on Deployment Tiles You cannot move your opponent s tile 2 DV Move any unit 1 space in any direction You can move ally OR enemy units This cannot move a unit into a tile they cannot normally enter 3 DV Deploy a unit and ready it This does not count as your once per turn deploy a unit action The deployed unit is ready upon deployment and can be activated immediately This does not stack with Haste 9

Page 10

IV Terrain and Movement Rules General Movement Rules Movement is never diagonal Units cannot end their movement in the same space as another unit Units cannot move through enemy units Abilities that move units must still obey terrain movement restrictions DV Map Tiles You can spend 1 DV to place or move your DV Map Tile on either of its two sides Plain Side Turns this tile into a plains tile making it have no special properties Ruins Side Turns this tile into a ruins tile making it impossible to enter by all units Upon Entering Cannot Enter Ignored By Plain No effect Castle No effect Forest Water Mountain End movement End movement End movement Cavalry Cavalry Armored Cavalry Flying Flying Flying Deployment Zone Upon Entering No effect Cannot Enter Enemy units Units can gain tags through various effects even inside a space that they wouldn t be able to enter after receiving the tag but they must obey movement rules on future moves Teleport is a keyword that moves units directly but the destination must still be enter able by the unit Ignores tile restrictions even if the unit also has Armored or Cavalry Deployment zones cannot be covered by DV Map tiles 10

Page 11

Map Overview The game includes 4 maps with different layouts and uses The boss mode map has no features Special features are marked by stars below For 1 vs 1 games place the player boards at the top and bottom ends while the map is oriented upright Default Map by Midoriyaizuhugs Pixel Art Map by Quickalas Nohr Hoshido Map by ShiroNiji Plains Castle Forest Water Mountain Boss Mode Map by CYMK_8 Grant players 1 DV instead of 1 Anna Coin when their unit takes the Work action on this tile Grant players 1 extra Anna Coin when their unit takes the Work action on this tile Can only be captured by the opposing player Gives 2 VP Cards and 2 DV when captured instead of 1 11 11

Page 12

V Unit Actions I won t be able to move after I ve taken my action and I only get a single action I really should choose carefully What would Robin do After you activate a unit the unit first moves a number of spaces up to their MOV stat then the unit takes one of the following Unit Actions Attack Capture Special Assist Work or Retire Attack Attack a unit RNG spaces away When you defeat an enemy unit you gain 1 VP coin 2 if the unit was legendary while your opponent gains 1 DV Capture Gain 1 VP Card and give the opponent 1 DV The Capture action can only be taken by a unit on a Castle tile You may only capture once per turn The same castle can be captured repeatedly The game ends when either VP Cards or VP Tokens run out Special Spend the unit s SA Token and use their Special Ability if they have one Units with Special Abilities are deployed with a single SA Token Using their Special Ability requires them to spend their SA token Some Special Abilities are Reactions These abilities can be used whenever their activation requirements are fulfilled Activating a Reaction is optional Reactions are not unit actions They are activated independently of a unit s action A unit that has used a reaction can still be activated to move and take a unit action on the same turn like attack or capture 12

Page 13

Assist Use a unit s Assist ability if they have one Assist abilities that move units must still obey movement restrictions of terrain Some units have assist abilities listed as unit tags drag back Work Gain 1 Anna Coin Retire Pay 3 Anna Coins to discard the unit and gain 1 Dragon Vein denies VP Retiring uses up that unit s action meaning you cannot Attack and then retire It is a costly maneuver but will deny your opponent VP I m not old enough to actually retire just yet 13

Page 14

VI Rules for Resolving Combat 3 Steps to Combat A unit initiates combat by taking the Attack action against a defending unit within RNG Combat is then resolved in 3 steps 1 The attacking unit deals damage Damage Attacker s ATK Defender s DEF If a Shapeshifter unit has their Shapestone token they use their shapeshifter stats instead of their base stats during combat At the end of combat the Shapestone token must be discarded 2 The defending unit counter attacks if within range If the defending unit s RNG does not allow it to attack its attacker no counter attack is performed If the defending unit reaches 0 HP it is discarded immediately and no counter attack is performed 3 The unit with higher SPD makes a follow up attack if within range This can be the attacker or the defender If SPD is tied no follow up attack is made by either unit If the faster unit s range does not allow it to attack its opponent no follow up attack is performed When you defeat a unit take 1 VP coin or 2 if you defeated a Legendary and give your opponent 1 DV Combat is often lethal in Anna s Roundtable Having the upper hand through type effectiveness or the weapon triangle is key to victory 14

Page 15

Attack Range RNG If the defending unit is out of range it cannot counter attack A unit can only counter attack if its attacker is within range Some units have a range of 1 2 allowing them to attack and counter attack at range 1 AND range 2 1 RNG 1 2 RNG 2 RNG The Weapon Triangle Red beats Green Green beats Blue Blue beats Red During combat between 2 differently colored units one unit is at an Advantage and one is at an Disadvantage A unit with advantage gains 1 ATK A unit with disadvantage loses 1 ATK The Weapon Triangle does not take effect if both units are the same color or if any units are Gray When Your Unit is Defeated Discard your unit Put the unit card and any attachments it had in the discard pile Remove the unit s meeple from the board Give your opponent 1 VP coin If your defeated unit was Legendary give them 2 VP coins instead Each VP coin is worth 3 Victory Points If this was the last VP token the game ends and the player with more VP wins Take 1 Dragon Vein Crystals If this is NOT the first unit you ve lost this turn you gain 2 DV instead If you lose 3 units in 1 turn you ll gain 5 DV total Skill Effects in Combat Skills can often change a unit s stats before or during combat or introduce other factors When an unit or card effect contradicts game rules it always takes priority over game rules There are TONs of different skills For example a unit with the Eff vs Armor tag will gain 2 ATK during combat against units with the Armored tag Make sure to read the skills and tags of your units carefully to use them to their full potential 15

Page 16

VII Unit Tags Assist The game s many unit tags can be sorted into three primary categories Assist Actions Movement Types and Passive Abilities There are also Effectiveness tags which are essentially a subcategory of Passive Abilities Tags do not stack so a unit that already has a tag cannot gain the same tag again Assist Assist Action tags provide the unit with an Assist Action that the unit can take as its Unit Action Pg 13 Movement Movement Type tags define how the unit interacts with different spaces as it moves around the map Passive Passive Ability tags simply give the unit an ability that is always in effect Tag Description Pivot Target 1 adjacent ally Teleport me to an open space adjacent to the target unit Reposition Target 1 adjacent ally Teleport the target to an open space adjacent to me Swap Target 1 adjacent ally Swap me with the target unit Physic Target 1 ally within 2 spaces The target restores 3 HP Taunt Target 1 enemy They must be activated first next turn If able they must also move towards me and attack me without using Special Abilities Armored Unit cannot enter Water tiles Cavalry Unit cannot enter Forest Water or Mountain tiles Flying Unit cannot enter Mountain tiles but ignores Forest and Water tile restrictions even if this unit also has the Cavalry or Armored tags Eff vs Armor Unit gains 2 ATK during combat with Armored units Eff vs Flying Unit gains 2 ATK during combat with Flying units Eff vs Horse Unit gains 2 ATK during combat with Cavalry units Eff vs Shifter Unit gains 2 ATK during combat with Shapeshifter units 16 Movement Effectiveness

Page 17

Passive Aegis Archer Unit takes 1 less damage during combat from foes with Ignore DEF Unit gains 1 ATK while on a Mountain tile and 1 DEF while on a Forest tile Crit Chance When unit attacks counterattacks or follow up attacks roll a dice On 5 or 6 this unit gains 2 ATK for that single attack Dodge Chance When unit takes damage during combat roll a dice On 5 or 6 reduce the damage taken by 2 Canto Unit s unspent movement can be used to move after taking their Unit Action Flex Counter Unit always counter attacks regardless of range Haste Unit is deployed Ready and can be activated the turn it is deployed Ignore DEF Unit ignores their foe s DEF when dealing damage during combat Renewal Unit restores 1 HP at the start of your turn Unit ignores all terrain rules and restrictions for movement except for the Ruins Pass DV Map Tile and can move through enemy units Pickpocket When this unit uses the Work action roll a dice On a 4 or higher take 1 Anna Coin from your opponent if they have any in addition to the 1 Anna Coin you earn from working Shapeshifter Deploy this unit with a Shapestone While this unit has a Shapestone they use their Shapeshift stats during combat After combat involving this unit they lose their Shapestone When this unit Works they recover their Shapestone Triangle Adept The effects of the Weapon Triangle is doubled for this unit but not for their foe during combat 17

Page 18

VIII Boss Mode Rules co op mode Anna s Roundtable includes a cooperative boss mode for 2 to 4 players Team up with your friends to face off against bosses from FE history Your turns happen similarly to the standard 1 vs 1 game mode with the following changes The map is flat with no mountains rivers or forests There are no Anna Coins or Anna s Shop Cards The abilities for spending DV is different pg 20 Your hand size is halved to 3 Unit Cards instead of 6 Discarding Unit Cards is always free but you only draw back up to 3 Unit Cards at the end of your turn SETUP 1 Select a boss to face Each boss comes with a boss board a deck of boss cards and some reference cards Shuffle the deck of boss cards and place them with the mini map side face up 2 Stack 6 Life Coins per player next to the boss board You can use Anna Coins to represent Life Coins Players lose when all Life Coins are gone 3 Place the boss s tile in the center of the Map 4 Each player places their player board using the boss mode side with only 2 unit slots along different edges of the map In a 2 player game the player boards are opposite each other The player who last played Fire Emblem takes the first turn Increase the challenge of boss mode by decreasing the number of Life Coins to 5 or even 4 per player 18

Page 19

CLARIFICATIONS CHANGES IN BOSS MODE Effects that spend or gain Anna Coins will always spend or use a single DV for the entire effect The Pickpocket tag will give players 1 DV instead of extra Anna Coins no dice roll needed Ally units includes the units of all players All units you control does not include the units of other players When an effect refers to enemy units it can target the boss or units summoned by the boss It cannot target tokens on the board that are not considered units When an effect targets units within an area the effect does not target the boss multiple times even if the boss s tile is within range multiple times Opponent refers to the boss who is always considered to have 3 units deployed The boss s tile cannot be moved by any player effects Effects that deal damage to a unit directly can target any 1 of the boss s HP bars Non lethal damage cannot deal the last damage of an HP bar Dancers can Ready your allies units during your turn When this happens that ally player can immediately move and act with that unit before your turn ends Unit cards with effects that check for shop cards can be discarded and replaced immediately BOSS MODE BASICS Win Lose Conditions Players Win when the boss has been defeated The amount of lives the Boss has increases with player count Players Lose when the all of the Life Coins next to the boss board has been lost You lose 1 Coin whenever a player unit has been defeated You lose 2 if that unit was Legendary Players start a total of 6 life coins per player on normal difficulty 5 on hard and 4 on lunatic Turn Order The players and the boss alternate taking turns Players take turns in clockwise order After every player s turn the boss takes a turn Ex with 3 players P1 Boss P2 Boss P3 Boss Repeat 19

Page 20

ON PLAYER TURNS Turn Overview At the start of your turn Gain 1 Dragon Vein Crystal and Ready all of your units During your turn You may perform any of the following turn actions in any order Deploy a unit once per turn Discard a unit card always free Activate a ready unit then exhaust it Spend Dragon Vein Crystals You may not deploy multiple units of the same color and units are exhausted when they are deployed At the end of your turn Draw back up to 3 Unit Cards The boss then takes their turn Dragon Vein Crystals DV Earning DV in boss mode You earn 1 DV at the start of your turn not at the start of other players turns You earn 1 DV when a unit of yours is defeated not when other players units are defeated You cannot have more than 5 DV Any DV gained while you have 5 DV is ignored You can spend your DV in three ways Spend 1 DV Move any unit up to 2 spaces in a single direction Spend 2 DV Deploy a unit and ready it Spend 3 DV When a unit would be defeated during combat a player initiated they survive with 1 HP instead Unit Actions After a unit has moved or chosen not to move it can perform one of the following actions Attack Attack a boss or their summoned unit within RNG Special Use the unit s special ability Assist Use the unit s Assist ability Work Gain 1 Dragon Vein crystal Boss Specific Action Perform an action specific to the boss you re facing Unlike in 1 vs 1 mode you can spend DV during any player s turn not just your own Just like in 1 vs 1 mode DVs are incredible powerful Careful use of their abilities is often key to victory 20

Page 21

Attacking Bosses When you attack a boss tile select the corner of the boss you are attacking A unit may only attack a corner of the boss that is within that unit s range The corner you attack tells you the color of the boss during combat Laurent can attack the green OR colorless corners of Grima but if he attacks the Green corner he ll get color advantage Defeating a Boss Once all of a boss s HP bars are at 0 HP the boss loses 1 life The boss s number of lives is dependent on the number of players When the boss loses 1 life all of the damage on it s board is removed If it was the boss s last life it is defeated and the players win Boss Stats Counter Attacks The ATK SPD DEF and RNG of the boss is indicated on its current boss card If the boss did not lose a life from being attacked and is within range to counter attack it will do so The color of the boss is decided by the corner being attacked Its Range Attack Speed and Defense are all defined by the current boss card Damaging Bosses Each corner of the boss represents a different color When dealing damage apply it to the color of the corner you attacked There s no point in attacking a corner of the boss that is already at 0 HP So aim carefully The boss s stats range and tags can change from turn to turn 21

Page 22

ON BOSS TURNS A Boss turn has 3 steps 1 Perform any start of turn effects as defined by the Boss board 2 Roll a dice to determine the spaces the Boss attacks and resolve any combat that occurs 3 Flip the current Boss card resolve its effect and move it to the bottom of the Boss deck 4 Rotate the Boss s tile 90 degrees Step 1 Boss Effects Summoning The boss board will describe any start of turn boss effects it might have When a boss summons a token or minion roll 1 dice for X and 1 dice for Y Then place the summoned token or minion on the matching location on the board If the rolled space is occupied follow the instructions on the boss s reference card All bosses share the same reversible summon token to represent their summons EXAMPLE if you rolled a 2 for X and 3 for Y the summoned token would be placed on 2 spaces right and 3 spaces up 2 3 Step 2 Boss Attack Roll a single dice to determine the area of the board that the boss will attack If there is a player unit in those spaces the boss initiates combat against them If there are multiple units the players choose the order in which combat is resolved If there were no player units in those spaces the boss makes no attacks If the boss loses a life during one of these combats the boss s attacks end and the remaining units in his attack range do not get attacked EX The Boss rolled a 4 but there are no units in the space indicated 22

Page 23

Step 2B Boss Combat The boss always initiates combat with the color that gives it Weapon Triangle advantage If the player unit is Gray the boss also initiates combat with Gray If that color of the boss is at 0 HP then the player get to choose the color that the boss uses to attack isntead The RNG of this combat is at the range of the boss s current RNG stat If the range if 1 2 players get to choose 1 or 2 for the combat s RNG Step 3 Flip Boss Cards Flip the current boss card then execute the effect on that boss card The next boss card in the deck becomes the new current boss card Place the flipped boss card at the bottom of the boss deck If the boss card affects more than one unit players can choose the order for the effect such as when an effect deals damage to all units players can choose the order in which units are damaged EX the Red and Blue player units are in the boss s attaack zone The boss attacks the red unit as blue and attacks the blue unit as green By default bosses will never move from their position in the center of the map just like in most FE games However some bosses will have abilities on their cards allowing them to move so strategize accordingly Step 4 Boss Rotation Whether the boss moved or attacked rotate the boss tile 90 degrees clockwise Try your best not to forget this step 23

Page 24
