PASTORSERNEST & ROSE TAYLOROur StoryPastors Ernest and Rose Taylor have been the dedicatedSenior Pastors and Founders of Word of Life Christian CenterInternational since June 5, 1994. Their lives have been devoted to serving God, the church, andthose in need.Pastor Ernest Taylor grew up in Charleston, Mississippi, underthe guidance of his pastor father. He recommitted his life toGod in 1980, married, and joined Bethel Green M.B. Church,led by Rev. August Brown. Pastor Rose Taylor, his wife, servedas a Missionary, BTU Director, and Sunday school teacher.Ernest was ordained as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher.Recognizing their calling, they attended Faith TabernacleChurch under Pastor Al Smith. They worked as lay ministersand studied at the Chicago School of Ministry for four years,earning their ministerial licenses.Later, they joined International Love Ministries with PastorBilly Edgar, where they were licensed and ordained asAssociate Pastors. They actively participated in outreachministries, including street evangelism, nursing home andhospital visitation, visiting the sick and shut-in, and becomingpowerful teachers of the Word.Due to their faithfulness, God called Pastor Taylor to start hisown church. They began with bible studies at Evangelist KarenWright’s home, which grew and led to organizing the church inPastor Devon and Katrina Pope’s basement. Soon after, theymoved to a storefront church, establishing Abundant LifeMinistries, now known as Word of Life Christian CenterInternational.For 30 years, the Lord has greatly blessed Word of LifeChristian Center, which has continued to grow through God'sgrace and the support of its members, family, and friends.
