Small Stage Performance Make-up GuidelinesYou will need:SunscreenOil-free moisturizer (we highly recommend one with SPF)Foundation: 2 tonesFoundation applicator (brush, sponge)Concealer/highlighterPowderEyeshadow: dark brown and crème colorsEyeliner: brownMascara: black or brownBlush: more neutral rose color (no hot pink or blush that contains sparkles orglitter)Lipstick: neutral color (one shade darker than your natural lip color)Make-up brushes – if possible get natural hair brushes as they tend to workbetter and last longer (you can get these for cheap at any craft store that sellspaint supplies)Make-up removal wipes/dissolvent soapsImportant Notes:Before beginning this process, be sure you are wearing a shirt that is easilyremovable without conflicting with your face or hair (i.e. zip-up jacket, tank topetc.) Also, don’t wear any clothing you do not wish to get covered in make-upand/or powder when starting this process. Be sure you are thinking ahead.1. Make sure your hair is performance ready before applying your make-up to helpkeep it out of your face and to avoid smudging and streaking while using water-based products on your hair.2.Always apply make-up in good lighting conditions to avoid streaks and uneventones. 3.Avoid using glitter or make-up products that include glitter or unnaturally brightcolors. Stage make-up is meant to make your natural features stand out from faraway. Adding extra shine to your stage make-up can make your features lookunnatural on camera.4.Proper removal of stage make-up is just as important as the process of applyingit. Be sure to purchase good make-up wipes, dissolvent soaps etc. Regular soapand water will not be enough especially for waterproof make-up 5.16small stage make up guidelines | school@dancebtc.org
