Keep Dreaming A three part free virtual concert premiering in February 2021 celebrating Black History Month and our hope for the future Melissa Reardon viola Ryan McCullough piano Chioke I Anson voice narration Apr s un r ve After a dream Dans un sommeil que charmait ton image Je r vais le bonheur ardent mirage Tes yeux taient plus doux ta voix pure et sonore Tu rayonnais comme un ciel clair par l aurore Tu m appelais et je quittais la terre Pour m enfuir avec toi vers la lumi re Les cieux pour nous entr ouvraient leurs nues Splendeurs inconnues lueurs divines entrevues H las h las triste r veil des songes Je t appelle nuit rends moi tes mensonges Reviens reviens radieuse Reviens nuit myst rieuse Gabriel Faure In sleep made sweet by a vision of you I dreamed of happiness fervent illusion Your eyes were softer your voice pure and ringing You shone like a sky that was lit by the dawn You called me and I departed the earth To ee with you toward the light The heavens parted their clouds for us We glimpsed unknown splendours celestial res Alas alas sad awakening from dreams I summon you O night give me back your delusions Return return in radiance Return O mysterious night Our Artists Grammy nominated violist Melissa Reardon is an internationally renowned performer whose solo and chamber playing spans all musical genres Melissa is the Artistic Director of the Portland Chamber Music Festival in Portland ME Artist in Residence at Bard College and Conservatory and a founding member and the Executive Director of the East Coast Chamber Orchestra ECCO As a member of the Ens String Quartet from 2006 until its nal season in 2018 Melissa toured both nationally and internationally with highlight performances in Sydney Melbourne Rio de Janeiro New York s Carnegie Hall and Washington DC s Kennedy Center to name a few Lauded by Classical Voice for her elegant and virtuosic performances the Massachusettsborn musician won rst prize at the Washington International Competition and is the only violist to win top prizes in consecutive HAMS International viola competitions A soughtafter collaborative musician and teacher Melissa has appeared in numerous festivals across the United States and around the world and has toured with Yo Yo Ma s Silk Road Ensemble and with Musicians from Marlboro Melissa is married to the cellist Raman Ramakrishnan and they live in NYC with their seven year old son Linus
