My family was at the core of who I was when I started out...
Early in my life I was armed with faith...
I had hope, empowered by others like me...
we found meaning in service and duty...
It wasn't interested in competing
with my friends...
I just wanted all of us to rise...
We were young girls with dreams...
the company I kept helped me focus
on a vision I wanted for myself.
What I went through happened,
who I was existed.
I needed my past to get me
to where I am today.
,,,So...here I am today...
I've found happiness and meaning in the service for others...
After traveling to far away places...I realized happiness was always there...I just had to look within...
To have these two in my life, I would go through it all again...
my boys are the air that I breathe...

My son Jaime
Everything was worth it... look at what I have today...
my heart is full.
Above all...I learned to be the heroine in my life
not the victim
I have looked back only to see how far I've come.
