Greetings Sorors, On the eve of Election Day, I’m filled with pride as I reflect on ourChapter’s commitment to social action. Political Awareness andInvolvement has been woven into the fabric of our organizationsince its inception. And with absolute fortitude on the frontlines, our Chapter answered the Sorority’s present day call to action. We empowered our community by educating, registering, andmobilizing voters. United with sorors across the city, region andnation, and in solidarity with our Divine Nine (D9) family, weelevated our impact to ensure that every eligible voter understoodtheir rights, as well as the power in their voice through their vote. From our Meet the Candidates Forum to eight voter registrationdrives, the Stroll to the Polls event, our #artvotes campaign, andsupporting digital civic education on the local, regional andnational levels, our collective efforts have empowered countlessindividuals to exercise their most sacred civic duty.We also showed up in full force to carryout our own civic dutyduring early voting! It was amazing to see so many of you ‘stroll tothe polls’ early, in classic Delta style. If you haven’t voted yet, let ourcollective efforts, partnerships, and the sacrifices of our ancestorsfuel you to head to the polls on Election Day to fulfill this essentialact of social action. Sorors, this is our 1913 moment! Standing onthe shoulders of the 22, we carry their vision forward. Let’s continueto make history! Every act ofkindness, whether big or small, is a testament to His grace and a chance touplift those around us.Let us embrace this calling with courage and enthusiasm.
