A Purpose-Driven Career A purpose-driven career involves doing something you love, which has meaning and, more importantly, makes you want to wake up in the morning and genuinely look forward to the day ahead, knowing you will be making a difference. The Purpose-Driven Intrapreneur For the purposes of this mini workbook, a purpose-driven Intrapreneur is defined as an employer who introduces new ideas for the benefit of the company, inspires their team members and leads and motivates others to be the best version of themselves. Job vs Career There is a big difference between having a job and having a career. If all you want from life is to pay the bills, afford nice things, then any job will do. But if you want upward mobility, to be the master of your craft, climb the career ladder, gain recognition for

5 © For Business Sake your contributions in your sector/industry and be rewarded and acknowledged for the work you do. Then a career is what you should pursue. The Purpose-Driven Career mini workbook has been written for career transitioners. It’s split into eight sections and is super simple to use. It is designed to allow you the time and space to reflect (away from computer screens) to allow for a personal thought-based approach to growth and development. It’s a great way to capture any thoughts you have about your career and the direction you want to take in making your career path a journey that you can look back on with pride. Whatever your reason, know that there is a purpose to everything we do, and it’s up to us to define it for ourselves.
