Don't Drink  and Drive!

by: Cameron Nave

MADD stand for Mothers Against Drunk Driving. This organization believes that too many people have died as a result of drinking and driving. Research shows that 28 people are killed everyday as a result of driving under the influence.

Mission Statement:

"To end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking."

"The goal of MADD was to reduce drunk driving traffic fatalities and the organization has been highly effective in raising public disapproval of drunk driving."

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) was founded in 1980 by Candy Lightner, whose daughter was tragically killed by a drunk driver who was a repeat offender.

"Over the years, MADD has been instrumental in getting drunk driving laws passed and the legal acceptable blood alcohol level reduced. By 1982, more stringent DUI laws were introduced in 35 states and passed by 24 states. A year later, 129 new DUI laws had passed, and the snowball effect continued."

Please be part of the solution to this horrific societal issue.  It is crucial that everyone bands together to help end the needless and senseless injuries and deaths related to driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. "Don't Drink and Drive!!
