Father in heaven, we give you thanks for your servant
Davina. We praise you as we celebrate and recollect
Davina’s life and cherish Davina’s memory. We bless you
that in bearing your image Davina has brought light to our
lives; for we have seen
In Davina friendships, reflection of your compassion,
In Davina integrity, demonstrations of your goodness,
In Davina faithfulness, glimpses of your eternal love.
Grant to each of us, beloved and bereft, grace to follow
Davina’s good example so that we with Davina may come
to your everlasting kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who died and rose again and opened the gate of glory, to
who be praise for all eternity.
All Amen

Prayer for the family:
God, the almighty Father, raised Christ from the dead; with confidence
we ask Him to save all his people, living and dead: For Davina, who in
baptism was giving the pledge of eternal life, that her may now be
admitted to the company of the saints.
Lord, in your mercy:
Response: Hear our prayer
For the family and friends of our sister Davina, that they may be
consoled in their grief by the Lord,
Who wept at the death of his friend Lazarus.
Lord, in your mercy;
Response: Hear our prayer
For all of us assembled here to worship in faith, that we may be
gathered together again in God’s kingdom.
Lord, in your mercy:

Psalms 23:
The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in the paths of righteousness.
For His name’s sake.
Yeah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.
I will fear no evil.
For you are with me.
Your rod and Your staff they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life
