Text is a widely used method of presenting information on screen. Text is a meaningful string of characters – Letters, numbers, symbols or punctuation. Text is typically used to provide a body of information on each screen. Text is used in many different ways such as headings, content, labels, captions, menus and navigation. 


Serif fonts are the more decorative containing serifs or tails on the tips of most letters

This font is Times New Roman. It is a Serif font.

Sans-Serif fonts are easier to read on screen and are more commonly used for body texts for this reason.

This font is Arial. It is a Sans-Serif font.


Audio is digitalised sound consisting of waves that represent change in air pressure. Audio can supplement information or substitute for other forms of information. However audio requires a large amount of processing power and download time so it should be chosen carefully.


I cut down the original song from over 4 minutes to just under 1 minute and then changed (lowered) the pitch/frequency.

A computer graphic is a still pictorial portrayal of data that can be bitmapped or vector based. Graphics can either be in 2D or 3D.

Morphing which can be seen below is the technique of changing smoothly from one image to another by small gradual steps using computer animation.


Animation is a simulation of movement created by displaying a series of pictures or frames. Animation is one of the main components of multimedia presentations. There are many software applications that enable you to create animations that you can display on a computer monitor.

Video takes continuous motion and breaks it up into frames animation starts with independent pictures and puts them together to form the illusion of continuous motion.


Interactive multimedia is any computer-delivered electronic system that allows
the user to control, combine and manipulate different types of media, such as
text, sound, video, computer graphics, and animation.
