AT&T is waging war on texting while driving, calling on its customers to take a pledge to never text and drive. The telecom company is also asking local governments, device makers and app developers to spread the word and make driving and texting a thing of the past.

To achieve its goal, AT&T has enlisted help from its employees, as well as a number of stars — including teen-targeted celebs, singer Ryan Beatty and actress Victoria Justice — to send an anti-texting while driving message.

AT&T started thinking about the campaign and coming up with ideas. It wasn't until august 2012 when the idea was published.

 Many Minnesota Safety Council members have enacted distracted driver policies for their employees who drive on company business. Encouraging your employees to take the "It Can Wait" pledge can be a great way to remind workers about distracted driver policies.
