It Can Wait Campaign

  • This campaign was started by AT&T in 2010 in an effort to stop texting and driving.
  • In 2014, AT&T held over 500 campaign events around the country in an effort to stop the ever growing trend of texting and driving.
  • GHSA and USAA Insurance are proud supporters of this campaign. GHSA is conducting an outreach program this year while USAA Insurance has participated in several activities since 2013.
  • This campaign inspired a Texas legislator to reintroduce a texting and driving ban to his 2015 legislative session.

Where Is Their Focus Heading?

AT&T plans to continue their campaign by hosting more events all across the nation. They hope to develop more apps for all platforms that encourage drivers to keep their eyes on the road. They will continue to be on the lookout for partnerships and celebrity endorsements, doing everything in their willpower to save the lives of drivers.

  • 75% of teen drivers claim that texting and driving is a normal occurrence for their community.
  • Over 8,000,000 teens have already taken the pledge.
  • 82% of those who have pledged to stop texting and driving have felt good about themselves because of it.
