CO DIRECTOR S CORNER It s spring at the Met and the campuses are starting to look beautiful As the flowers start to bloom so do the opportunities for our students Our seniors are finalizing their postMet plans and many of our other students are exploring opportunities for the summer You ll see that the pages of this WHAM are filled with amazing stories of students taking advantage of the opportunities around them It s one of the most amazing things we do here at the Met letting students dive deeply into a subject or project that they care about and that they enjoy the challenge of completing From flying a plane to becoming a peace ambassador to training to be a veterinary assistant our students learn to succeed by working along side adults who can foster their interest Deeper learning comes from the ability to really invest in their interest Our students can commit their school time to really pursue their passions and understand a topic well while their advisors unpack the learning and help them accomplish their learning goals and requirements It s a thrill to see our students excel in their chosen fields and we love sharing their stories Nancy Congratulations to our Skills USA Champions We are proud to announce that we swept the video production category at this year s Skills USA RI Bronze medal went to Shelby Cray and Quentin Tran Silver was awarded to Joseph Tanzi and Evan Rodriguez and Hector Velez and Lennox Orellana walked away with the gold medal Taliq Tillman also competed this year in extemporaneous speaking and was awarded first place with the gold medal
