It Can Wait Campaign

The campaign was introduced by AT&T in March 2010. 

The campaign's mission is to get people to pledge to put their phones down while their behind the wheel of a car. Millions have joined in making this pledge to not drive distracted. To make the pledge you have to care about the people around you and put your phone down. To share the message that texting while driving is never ok. And to be aware that you are never alone on the road.


When & Where

Mission Statement

AT&T's campaign is focused on making safer drivers and roads. They created the 21 day challenge and Drive Mode App. The 21 day challenge is for drivers who struggle with putting their phones down while driving. The challenge is a pledge for drivers to stay off their phones while driving for 21 days and by the time the 21 days are over hopefully drivers will make it a habit. The Drive Mode App is to help minimize distractions and keep your eyes on the road.

It has been outlawed to text and drive in 47 out of 50 states because of the It Can Wait campaign.
