Tim Burton is considered a pioneer in animation for his Gothic-style movies and his extensive use in Stop-Motion style of animation.
Why i chose Time Burton.
I chose Tim Burton because he created many famous movies such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Frankenweenie (Both the 1984 and 2012 versions), and the very popular Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
For three years, Tim didn't make any movies, until he made the hit movie Beetlejuice in 1988. After Beetlejuice's success, Tim Burton was entrusted by Warner Bros. to direct Batman in 1989
(Shown to the right).
Timothy's early film career was met with great success. Some of Tim's early movies were; The Fox And The Hound, The Black Cauldron, his first live-action movie, Frankenweenie, and his first full-length movie; Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
Timothy Walter Burton was born in Burbank, California on August 25, 1958, with his parents, Jean Rae Erickson and William Reed Burton. Tim spent his childhood watching old movies and drawing cartoons. He especially liked to watch Vincent Price's movies. He designed an anti-litter poster for a garbage company when he was in the ninth grade. After Burton's High School year, he went to California Institute of the Arts, wanting to become an animator for Disney.
After creating Batman, Tim went on to create several hits, such as Edward Scissorhands (1990), Batman Returns (1992), The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), Ed Wood (1994), and the not-so popular movie, Mars Attacks! (1996). The movie Mars Attacks! had not been a great success, but Tim redeemed himself when he directed Sleepy Hollow in 1999. Tim's next movie was Planet of the Apes (2001), a remake of a classic movie of the same name. In 2005, Tim had directed yet another box-office hit, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
