King David was known for being a “man after God’s own heart” (Acts 13:22). Nextto having this heart for God, David had a heart to gather with God’s people inworship. In Psalms 122:1, David said, “I was glad when they said to me, “Let us goto the house of the Lord.” What a way to live! What a way to be remembered!Thankfully such a spiritual experience is not exclusive to just a few, but to all. Ittruly is a highlight to gather together and seek God on a weekly basis. If you are aregular attendee at Trinity Baptist Church, thank you for your faithfulness to thischurch ministry. If you are seeking a church family, let me invite you to considerjoining us in seeking God and gather together for worship. Just know you arealways welcome at Trinity Baptist Church. GoStudents 2024 Network Projects Conclude Over the summer, around 500 participants working across 18 different GoStudents projects helped advancethe Gospel around the world. This was the first year that GoStudents operated as a network of Certified SendingPartners, where local churches adopted specific mission projects and sent out teams here, near, and far! Theprojects were as close as Oklahoma City and as far as Germany. For more information about the new structurevisit http://www.oklahomabaptists.org/gostudents/faq. This is the full list of projects and the churches that acted as Certified Sending Partners: Belize (Pryor, First);Brazil (Clinton, First); Calgary (Perry, First): Germany (McAlester, First); Honduras (Tecumseh, Sharon); London(Tulsa, Memorial); Nebraska (McAlester, First); New York City (Kingfisher, First in June and Ponca City, NewPoint inJuly); Nicaragua (Carter, First during Spring Break and Luther, First in the Summer); Oklahoma City (OKC, Emmaus);Portugal (Blanchard, Open Door); Seattle (Eufaula, First); Tulsa (Tulsa, Church Inside Out for Spring Break, Juneand July); and Utah (Okarche, First). “Everyone did an incredible job,” said Brian Baldwin, Oklahoma Baptists Youth Missions and Evangelism.“Several individuals made professions of faith, and the students’ lives were profoundly impacted in various ways, helping to advance the work of our partners.” Through the efforts of Oklahoma Baptist students, many people near and far were touched by the Gospel.Mission trips like those offered through the GoStudents Network can serve as powerful catalysts for spiritualinspiration, sanctification and a vocational calling for those who feel drawn to full-time ministry or missions. Thestudents demonstrated incredible compassion, worked tirelessly, and shared the good news of Jesus withhundreds. “I feel the Lord used our team to build the congregation at San Miguel Baptist church,” said Belize teammember Julie Bryant. “By night 4 we had gone from 99 to 175!” Since 2002, Oklahoma Baptists have sent thousands of students on mission trips through GoStudents. About4,300 participants on 141 individual trips to 43 different locations were mobilized by Oklahoma Baptists overthose years. In recent years God has blessed the program with exponential growth. Oklahoma Baptists has a longhistory of assisting churches getting their students to the mission field, which is accomplished throughGoStudents. Now operating as a network of Certified Sending Partners, GoStudents has boundless potential to advance theGospel even further. Certified Sending Partners are “capital K” Kingdom leaders from Oklahoma Baptist churcheswithin the GoStudents Network. They are coached, resourced, and unleashed onto the mission field withindividuals or small groups that need a pathway to follow.Students 6 grade and up have numerous opportunities to participate in the advancement of the Gospel. Out-of-State projects are reserved for students that have completed 8-12 grade and range from North America to aroundthe world. In-state Oklahoma projects are for students 6-12 grade who want to see God’s Kingdom advance in ourstate. Even though this year’s GoStudents projects have come to a close, Many more projects will be scheduled fornext year.
