ABOUT ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF LOS ANGELES Since 1919, Assistance Leagueof Los Angeles, has mobilizedhundreds of thousands ofmember volunteers to raisefunds and provide criticalneed services to the mostvulnerable members of ourcommunity: childrenexperiencing homelessness,the foster system, andextreme poverty.Today The “League” serves more than 22,000 youthannually through five programs that providemuch needed clothing, blankets, groomingitems, books, school supplies, arts enrichment,and education opportunities. This year marks our 15th Prom Day, a heartfeltevent created in partnership with the Los AngelesUnified School District's Homeless EducationOffice (HEO). We invite high school seniors fromHEO to a pop-up Prom boutique where they can"shop" for their dream dresses, shoes, purses,jewelry, and accessories. Understanding thechallenges many students face, we also provideeach of them with a swag bag filled with high-endbeauty and personal care products, as well as asuitcase, all offered completely free of charge toensure they feel valued and cherished on thisspecial occasion.Prom Day Sponsorship OpportunitiesProm Day Prom Day empowers homeless youth by instilling confidence and breakingdown the barriers that often exclude them from this important rite of passage.Through this event, students feel seen, valued, and given the same choice toattend prom as any other high school senior. By becoming a sponsor, yourcorporate group can play a pivotal role in transforming lives, offering theseyoung people an experience that boosts their self-esteem and opens doors tonew opportunities. Prom Day Will take place at Emerson College onSunset Blvd. in Hollywood on April 9th,2025.The League has chosen this aspirationallocation to give the girls a taste of thecollege experience and inspire them tofurther their education after high school.As a corporate partner, your involvementwill support this unforgettable event andalso inspire these young women to envisionbrighter futures and greater opportunities.Together, we can make a lasting impact ontheir lives.ABOUT THE EVENTVolunteer OpportunitiesVolunteer duties range from serving aspersonal shopping assistants to setting upthe boutique to replenishing inventory. Everyrole is important, and we will do our best toaccommodate volunteer preferences. PromDay will be divided into two volunteer shiftsthat last 4 1/2 hours.
