Message A Shared Struggle Leads to a Life Changed ForeverFebruary 2025Dear Friends,With the help of many precious people like you, so many children and adults have had the opportunity to learn about Jesus! Wewant to ensure our programs and facilities continue to be a safe, welcoming and hospitable place for God to meet with the manyguests He sends. This recent testimony from a high school student brings to mind the impact God makes in many lives while atJoy El.Rachel, a 4.12 Leadership Training Program student, served as a camp counselor at the Winter Bible Adventure Retreat. The weekleading up to the retreat had been especially difficult for Rachel’s family. Her father had been diagnosed with stage 4 coloncancer. While on the way to camp to come serve at the retreat, Rachel prayed that God would use these personal struggles as anopportunity to witness to the campers. On Saturday, after chapel, a camper approached and shared that things had been verydifficult because her father had fallen ill. They soon realized that both of their fathers were battling the same illness. Rachel wasable to provide reassurance and support, and in turn, the camper offered encouragement as well.Their conversation lasted nearly two hours, and the camper made the life-changing decision to begin a relationship with Christ. When the weekend came to an end, the camper’s parents arrived for pick-up, and Rachel had the chance to meet them. It wascomforting for Rachel to talk with someone who understood exactly the struggles her family was facing. We are amazed at ways God is in all the details, and in the hearts of Rachel and this young girl at the retreat. Even in the midst ofhardship, God uses our struggles for His purposes and brings comfort in unexpected ways. Will you help us continue to providesafe and welcoming opportunities for God to provide meaningful experiences like he did for Rachel? This year, the total cost of our essential ministry projects is expected to be $353,170. By making a gift to our projects you willhelp provide facility repairs and equipment, as well as upgrades and new activities and opportunities. With Hope,David RudyChief Advancement Officer
