Esta vez es una puerta místicade Cobre, que transmuta, a todo el que la cruza, en conductor de la energía del artista, paraque, cada vez más, se unan al ejército de héroes que deciden crear su realidad construyendonuevos y mejores mitos.”El número 6 en todas las culturas, a lo largo de la historia, ha simbolizado y significado:“La tarea ha sido encomendada, la responsabilidad es máxima”.Con este espíritu emprendemos la fascinante Sexta Edición del Festival Internacional de Cinede Almagro. El AIFF asume la misión de convertirse en-Conductor de la energía del artista-Nuestra reciente distinción como festival colaborador de los Premios Goya, e impregnadosde la esencia de nuestro país invitado este año, Chipre, y el valioso elemento que vive en susentrañas, el Cobre (superconductor de energía), nos proporcionan las herramientas para, deaquí en adelante, desarrollar tan importante misión.La palabra Cinética contiene toda esta información. Su etimología remite al “yo muevo”, principiofundamental del artista, y su significado como la energía de los cuerpos en movimiento, aAristóteles, primero en definir la energía y quien legó a su ho, como el conocimiento másvalioso que poseía, la Ética, para que le acompañara en su vida.Así, usaremos la cinética no sólo como el movimiento de la energía, para conducirla, sinotambién como la unión del Cine y la Ética del artista, como la que demuestran los cineastaspresentes en esta edición y en las futuras, pues “hicieron lo que deron que harían, atravesandosus límites”… Esa es la ética en el artista. Por eso no nos podemos desprender de nuestrasmetas, porque de ahí, como do Aristóteles, vendrá la energía y encontraremos el Arte.Con todo este fundamento, aceptamos el honor y la responsabilidad de conducir el cine delmundo hacia su mejor lugar, para que todo el que lo reciba, reciba a su vez, lo crucial.Bienvenidos a la VI edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Almagro.

7FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DE ALMAGROEQUIPO / TEAM Seis años de recorrido han logrado consolidar un equipo de profesionales jóvenes, originarios deLa Mancha, pero provenientes de toda España, que han encontrado en el Festival Internacionalde Cine de Almagro el lugar ideal para desarrollar su creatividad y su talento, y regresar a su tierracon el compromiso de construir desde ahí un proyecto que atraviese los límites del paradigma de ladespoblación, aportando su experiencia y el máximo de sus capacidades para crear oportunidadesnuevas y valiosas para la tierra que los vió nacer.Six years of travel have managed to consolidate a team of young professionals, originally from LaMancha, but coming from all over Spain, who have found in the Almagro International Film Festivalthe ideal place to develop their creativity and talent, and return to their land with the commitmentto build from there a project that crosses the limits of the paradigm of depopulation, contributingtheir experience and the maximum of their abilities to create new and valuable opportunities for theland that saw them born.

Desde entonces ha realizado diversas producciones audiovisuales comodirector bajo el nombre de ‘Marko Montana’, por las que ha recibido varias distinciones, entre ellasganador en dos ocasiones del Berlin Music Video Awards Actualmente desarrolla la actividad desu empresa Entropy Collective en Castilla-La Mancha, con sede en Bolaños de Cva.José Miguel Calzado Espinosa was born in Almagro, Ciudad Real. In 2016 he moved to Berlin tocreate Entropy Collective. Licenciada en Comunicación audiovisual, trabaja en este sector desde 2009, desarrollando proyectos dentro del departamentode producción, y desde 2018 también como productora ejecutiva. Actualmente, dirige el “SkylineBenidorm Film Festival”, proyecto propio que se desarrolla en Benidorm desde el 2017. Desde julio de2022 preside la Coordinadora del Cortometraje Español. En los últimos años también ha gestionadootros eventos culturales y cinematográcos: directora de producción del “XI Humans Fest” (2019-2020); “Cineforum violencia de género” (2018) para el Ayuntamiento de Benidorm como productoray  presentadora;  directora  artística  del  “Cineforum  LGTBIQ  mayores  de  50  años”  (2017)  para  elAyuntamiento de Madrid; apoyo y desarrollo de la plataforma “Inout Filmmakers”, dirigida a cineastasde toda la comunidad hispano-hablante (del 2015 al 2017). 17FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DE ALMAGROConsejero Cultural en la Alta Comisión de Chipre en Londres.Cineasta y estudioso del cine, Marios Psaras nació en Chipre y vive en Londres, Reino Unido.Tiene un doctorado en Estudios Cinematográcos de la Universidad Queen Mary de Londres, haenseñado teoría cinematográca en el King’s College de Londres y en la Universidad de Greenwich,y ha dado conferencias en Europa y Estados Unidos. Ha publicado sobre cine queer contemporáneogriego, europeo y mundial, incluida la monografía “The Queer Greek Weird Wave: Ethics, Politics andthe Crisis of Meaning” (Londres: Palgrave Macmillan, 2016).Psaras es director artístico de Cyprus Short Film Day (Londres) y miembro de la Hellenic FilmAcademy. Antes de mudarse a Londres, ha trabajado profesionalmente en la producción de radio ytelevisión en Chipre, así como en el teatro. Posteriormente, con su disco “Ulises”,abandona los sonidos de anteriores trabajos, tomando más protagonismo la banda en un universo eléctrico.
