I hope to create safe spacesby being a voice for those who may not have theirvoice just yet. It’s always been a passion of mine to prioritise makingcomforting environments for those who need itOur PRIDE TeamJo She/HerCommunity Mentor Team LeaderI’m Tijàna, my pronouns are she/her, I've been anincredibly lucky community mentor at LDS andhave been for almost two years now. I’m extremelygrateful to be learning new things each and everyday with all my beautiful participants and little bit to create a world where every individual, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity,disability, race, religious beliefs, physical appearance orsocio-economic status feels valued, supported and respected.I am a mum and grandma. My daughterstruggled with her identity through her earlyadolescence before coming out at 16. I have seenthe struggles, discrimination and homophobic biasshe has had to face firsthand. I try to do myhas not been easy but it has worked out for the best. I couldnot imagine going back to the way things were as the closetwas dark and lonely. Happy to help anyone explore openingthat closet door at their own pace. Also happy to talk toanyone who has any questions about anything LGBTQIASB+.requirements. Coming out in a migrant, religious family experienced as a 13 year old put a fire in me to ensurethat the idea that different is less is snuffed out foreternity. I know the privilege being a white, CIS straightfemale provides, ultimately I want that to mean nothing because we are all accepted for our uniqueness.I will provide acceptance, love and space, I will stand with you, I wont turn away. As a nanna I want to know the world mygrandies grow up in will love them as I do unconditionally and totally- something everyone deserves. Witnessing the hatred my daughter Hey legends! My name is Jayne and I identify asa queer trans woman. I'm proud to live and workon Wadawurrung land, alongside such diverse andinspirational colleagues here at Liberty. Geelongis home to a thriving creative queer scene and ifyou see me out and about, come say hi!the community on my pride journey. I enjoy nature walks &hikes, bird watching, arts & crafts, gaming, music & dance. Myrole at Liberty is a Psychosocial Recovery Coach, CommunityMentor and member of the Pride Team. I'm looking forward tooffering my assistance to support you regaining yourconfidence and independence to achieve your goals together.coworkers. My name is Kieren, some people call me Kiz. I am Indigenous and my tribe is Ngemba, which is located around the middle of NSW.My Pronouns are He/Him and I identify as Bisexual. I am the friendly receptionist and admin assistant who is always happy to help.I’m a dedicated and passionate advocate forinclusivity and equality. With a strong commitment to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, championing..diversity within the disability sector and beyond. I’m proud..to be one of the Directors of Liberty Disability Services...where the organisation prides themselves on fostering safe...and empowering spaces where everyone is celebrated for whothey are. At Midsumma Pride Festival, I proudly standalongside the community, promoting acceptance, resilience,and the power of connection. Hi I’m Cj (He/him), 23yo & 6'5! I am a Community Mentor and work in the plan management team . My mums are amazing, I love what 2 mums bring to our very loving home. I get double the support and understanding regarding my Autism. My favourite thing in the world is my beautiful, friendly German Shepherd Iyla. I also have a crazy passion for beach volleyballand spend all my spare time playing, training or reffing. I love what Ido at Liberty, I get to give back to the community and support somereally amazing people.
