Hosanna in the highest!”Matthew 21:8-10As Jesus approached Jerusalem riding on a colt thecrowds erupted in praise, physically, laying down palmbranches, and verbally, yelling “Hosanna,” which means“Save us”! This was a royal processional echoing theDavidic lineage of Jesus’s kingship. This week, as we approach celebrating our risen King inEaster, we will focus on worshipping King Jesusphysically and verbally.Just as they poured their hearts into honoring Jesus bymaking their private thoughts public, let us declare ourlove, gratitude and admiration of Jesus to the wholeworld!

Prepare The Way!Week #2: The Crown of Thorns“The soldiers led Jesus away into the palace andcalled together the whole company of soldiers. Theyput a purple robe on him, then twisted together acrown of thorns and set it on him. And they began tocall out to him, “Hail, king of the Jews!” Again andagain they struck him on the head with a staff and spiton him. Falling on their knees, they paid homage tohim. And when they had mocked him...they led him outto crucify him.Mark 15:16-20This horrible scene of the soldiers viciously mockingJesus shows the depth of suffering his love drove himto for us. Our questions as his followers today is will we willinglyembrace joining in his suffering out of love for him andothers, even being shamed with him. This week we honestly, and not mockingly, honor Jesusin embracing that call together!
