Information for Students In Partnership & Accredited with Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU)PgDipCOSCA ValidatedCourse Details400 Classroom Taught hours (70% face-to-face and 30% online)4 Modules - 30 credits which cover:Fundamentals of CBTCBT for mood disorders CBT for Anxiety disordersTrauma and treatment Models of Therapy CBT skillsProfessional and ethical practice.Clinical Practice Work-based Learning (Placement). 100 hours over 2 years of which must be (70% face-to-face and 30% online). External to the courseIt is the responsibility of the student to find a suitable placement and students are encouraged to pursue this assoon as possible. ACT will provide a list of work based learning organisations that have supported our students for a number of years. Supervision It is the responsibility of the student to find their own Supervisor. ACT will provide you with a list of suitable ClinicalSupervisors. This is an essential requirement as they will monitor and assess your competency in your work baselearning environment. You will require 1.5 hours of supervision per month.

Fees - £10,500 This does not include Supervision. Payment options will be available such as monthly payment plans. A deposit of £500 will be requested once we have received your completed application form and emailed youan acceptance. This will secure you a place on the course.Funding SupportSAAS Post-Graduate Funding/Tuition Loans/Student Loans Communications with SAAS is currently ongoing, and we anticipate that students will be able to applyapproximately 6 weeks prior to the course start date. Attendance/Time Commitment The learning is a mixture of lectures, small and large group discussions, research, skills practise triads, monthly onlineseminars and a number of written academic assessments over Year 1 and Year 2. Participants must plan for 100% attendance, as COSCA validation requires participants to attend a minimum of 85% ofteaching over the 2 years, therefore you must be committed to this prior to enrolment. COSCA validation requires 70%face-to-face teaching and 30% online. Planned absences must be discussed in advance with your tutor to ensure attendance criteria will be met. If you need to miss a class due to an emergency then you will be expected to catch up on the work you miss. Withdrawal from the course Should participants decide to leave before the course starts we will not be able to refund your deposit paid. Forwithdrawals during the duration of the course, it is expected that the the remainder of the course fees are paid in full ormonthly instalments continue to be paid until the course fees are cleared as we are unable to backfill your place on thecourse.
