In the heart of Guadalajara, the Analco neighborhood is a vibrant tapestry ofhistory and culture. Its colorful streets, lively public spaces, and historic buildingspaint a vivid picture of a community that has grown and evolved over time.Walking through Analco, one can sense the rich heritage and the dynamic spiritof its residents.Despite its many charms, Analco faces several challenges. There's an urgentneed for more intuitive mobility solutions to make it easier for residents andvisitors to navigate the neighborhood. Current mobility patterns can beconfusing and inefficient, hindering the flow of daily life. Additionally, thecommunity requires versatile amenities that can cater to its diverse population,from young families and working professionals to elderly residents and visitors.Housing is another critical issue in Analco. The neighborhood needs adaptablehousing options that can meet the changing needs and opportunities of itsresidents. This includes affordable housing for young professionals, familyhomes, and senior living options. Flexible and innovative housing solutions areessential to ensure that Analco can accommodate its growing population whilepreserving its unique character.To address these challenges, we have structured our intervention proposalaround five main pillars. These pillars will guide our efforts to improve mobility,enhance amenities, and create adaptable housing solutions. Fexibility over program The project implements versatile spaces through the Mat-Building concept, which uses 3.3 x 3.3-meter modulesdesigned for flexibility and repetition. These modules createadaptable, interconnected spaces that can easily respondto the evolving needs of users. By integrating harmoniouslywith their surroundings, the design allows residents of Analcoto modify and personalize their living spaces as desired,ensuring both functionality and comfort.Habitable ModulesThe development includes adaptable private, social, andhabitable modules throughout the complex. Private modulesoffer residents personal, quiet spaces for rest and reflection,ensuring comfort and privacy. Inresponse to these challenges, several urban revitalization projects were implemented,including Paseo Santa Lucía. This has become an important meeting point forresidents and visitors of Monterrey. It is a place where people can enjoy outdooractivities, such as boating, hiking, cycling, cultural and artistic events. The revitalizationof the Santa Lucía River area has contributed to improving environmental quality andbiodiversity in the region, which has turned it into an urban oasis that contrasts withthe surrounding urban environment. Despite revitalization efforts, socioeconomic disparities have persisted indemographics near the area, with some areas facing challenges such as poverty,unemployment or lack of access to basic services. Itsurban development continued onthe banks of this same river.Historically, the Santa Lucía River hasexperienced environmental problems due topollution and deterioration of its waterquality. Despite being located in an urbanarea, the Santa Lucía River ecosystem stillhosts a diversity of wildlife.The project is characterized byimitating this curve caused by theriver, which allows urbandevelopment in a linear mannerwith a dynamic route. With the intention of redensifyingthe downtown area of Monterrey,this being one of our main urbanapproaches, we designed atypology of accessible housingwhich allows increasing thehousing capacity of the area,providing quality housing spaces,accessible green areas andpromoting a reactivation of thecommunity with the aim ofcreating a friendly environmentunder the garden-city concept.The structural system of ourhousing block allows theexpansion and retraction ofspaces by adding orsubtracting bays, generatingdynamism in the elevation ofthe building.This subtraction of bayscreates terraces in someapartments on the upperlevels, and in turn a corridor atfloor level.Housing Floor PlansArchitecture Portfolio 202423

This house takes into account the views, clientcomfort, and empathy with the site. Lirios House creates a fusion betweenarchitecture and functionality.Lirios House is a single-family home. The project offers spaces for socializing andrelaxation, as well as spaces that directly connect with the natural surroundings,blurring the boundaries between the house's exterior and interior areas.Additionally, it uses locally sourced materials that make it unique, with facadesthat blend seamlessly with the environment of Los Lirios, Coahuila.This house is modular, making it efficient for construction, reducing costs in thestructure, and meeting the specified square meters. Proportion, Order and Rhythm Lirios House is designed forfunctionality and harmony, featuringa 10 x 10 meter structure organizedin a 4 x 4 grid. This layout optimizesspace, balancing privacy, comfort,and social interaction.Programmatic Volumes The house is divided into specificareas: three squares for the livingarea, three for the resting space,and three for the foyer, whichincludes stairs and a water featureto enhance the main entrance'ssensory and aesthetic appeal. Foursquares are for the transition andsocialization area, serving as adynamic meeting point. Finally, threesquares are dedicated to the mainsocial area for everyday activities.Connection with the SurroundingsThe connection diagram of LiriosHouse highlights panoramicviews pointing the mountains tothe north and south, as well asthe surrounding nature to theeast and west. Just as in the original block, this pavilion invites us to reflect on thetransformative power of architecture. The residence known as Lirios House 2 stands as a habitat designed toaccommodate a family of five individuals, located within the Ejido los Lirios inArteaga, Coahuila.Its conception is oriented towards providing spaces for rest and familyinteraction, as well as specific areas for the professional performance of itsmembers, all to foster a deep connection with the surrounding naturalenvironment, achieving a subtle amalgam that blurs the boundaries betweeninterior and exterior spaces.
