Whether that’s through our products, services, marketing, a sales call, or even the way in which the phone is answered, they form an opinion about our brand and, more importantly, your business. When they encounter consistency in all we do, it sends a clear message of strength, cohesion and quality, which are important elements to building a favorable customer experience. The purpose of this PIP Brand Standards Guide is to help you achieve consistency in the use of the PIP logo as well as other design and messaging vehicles. Be sure to keep this guide as a reference and adhere to its guidelines at all times. Current versions of this guide, as well as all versions of the PIP logo, can be found on the BMSS Resource Library under Marketing.TRADEMARKThe PIP logo is a key vehicle for establishing a strong brand identity. It is a registered brand trademark of PIP and is also representative of your local company name. Here are a few rules for displaying the PIP name:In written communication: PIP In website URLs: All franchisees must adhere to the PIP URL Policy, which can be found in the Operations Manual. All URLs containing any variation of the PIP name must be approved by Franchise Services, Inc.LOGO USAGEThe icon and word elements are to be treated as a single unit—do not separate the elements (see examples following).Altering the colors of the PIP logo is not allowed (see examples following).The PIP logo is also representative of your local company name. Altering the logo in any manner to reflect a local presence is not allowed (see examples following).As a rule, the PIP logo should always be used with the tagline. However, in some cases spacing, sizing or visibility issues may prevent using the tagline. Discretion and good judgment should be used to ensure the PIP brand is always represented in a professional-looking manner. The typeface used is Sharp Sans Font Family.

Do not alter the order of the words, which is always listed in the following order from left to right: Marketing Signs Print - always upper and lowercase.PIP is a wordmark. The type weight for PIP should not be altered from these specifications.Permissible Uses without the TaglineMULTIPLE USE When the use of a logo appears on multiple items within close proximity, the smaller of the executions can exist without the tagline. Examples of acceptable uses are a wall graphic behind a reception desk (with tagline) and a counter card in foreground (no tagline).LIMITED SPACE In the case of a small space where legibility is an issue, or mechanical specifications won’t allow for the tagline.TAGLINE

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.Logo:The Speed LineThe Speed LineThe PIP speed line graphic is an integral part of the PIP logo and should not deviate in size/relationship within the logo lockup.The speed line may be extracted from the logo and used as a design element outside of the logo lockup. It can bleed off the left edge, or it can left justify. Below are some guidelines. For example, on the letterhead, the speed line is the same height (thickness) at the bottom as in the logo at the top. However, on the donut box, the isolated speed line at the bottom is .435 less in height (almost half the thickness) than in the logo above it on the side of the box. For the pocket folder, it is .58 less than the logo, and for the business card, the isolated speed line at the bottom is 1.35 larger in height than the logo in the upper left corner.
