As I read through the strategic
plan, it struck me that these
initiatives capture not only the
scope of our responsibility, but
also the opportunity we have to
effect lasting change in the State
and beyond. By expediting justice
for victims of discrimination,
fostering prevention through
education, and investing in our
operational foundation, we are
building an organization equipped
to meet the demands of today
while preparing for the challenges
of tomorrow.
Thank you for your continued
commitment to this work, and I
look forward to our discussions as
we move this plan from vision to
action.

Since 1955, the Pennsylvania
Human Relations Commission has
worked to ensure all
Pennsylvanians live, work, and
learn free from discrimination. This
mission is as vital today as ever, as
we face persistent challenges in
the form of systemic bias, hate, and
inequity.
I want to commend this effort to
outline a clear path forward for the
Commission’s work. The proposed
goals—Advancing Equity and
Justice for PA, Enhancing
Operational Excellence, and
Shaping an Inclusive Society
Through Education—reflect the
core of our mission and values.
