Your dedication and commitment made a significant impact, not only on the event itself but also on the lives of those who benefited from it. Your willingness to contribute your time, expertise, and energy to this important initiative played a crucial role in providing accessible healthcare services to those in need. Through your efforts, we were able to offer screening tests and support that could potentially lead to early detection and better health outcomes for the individuals who attended. Your compassionate approach and unwavering dedication truly embody the spirit of community service that is at the core of the See, Test & Treat program. It is heartening to see individuals like you coming together to make a positive difference and create a lasting impact on the well-being of our community. Pathology Free PressPathology Free PressPathology Free PressOn Saturday, August 19th, we participated in the See, Test and Treat event providing Mammograms and Pap exams to the underserved women in our community. In a four-hour window, we provided imaging to 51 tremendously grateful women who left the event knowing their health matters. Dr. Paula Kezdi- Rogus pushed through with enthusiasm and determination despite the warm reading room temperature (there was a fan out on the roof). Technologists Lane Chow, Jennifer Brown, Kristin Jensen, Liz Sanchez and Adela Zamora were amazing as they expeditiously and compassionately cared for patients, many who had language barriers and had never had a mammogram before (there were MANY hugs!). Maira Pinal (Dynamic Scheduler) was at the event with a family member/patient. While she was in the clinic she heard of issues going on with arriving patients, causing huge delays, so she shifted gears and commandeered a vacant office and was able to get us back on schedule. Kathleen Fergus was the guiding light that kept us all on task. We would not have been successful without her diligence.A special thanks to Dr. Eva Wojcik and Dr. Josephine Dlugopolski-Gach for sharing their leadership and passion and allowing us to partner in serving women in our community who would not otherwise be supported.Best Regards,Donna DanzaRadiology Manager, Women's Health ImagingDear Team,Thank you so much for making this event so successful. Not only did we make a difference for so many women, but we showed that Loyola has a big heart. I attended a few community events this weekend and many people came up to me to say THANK YOU for hosting such an important health screening event. This is what makes us unique and why I love coming to work.Sincerely,Josephine Dlugopolski-Gach M.D., F.A.A.P.Regional Medical Director of Primary Care | Loyola MedicineAssociate Professor, Internal Medicine & Pediatrics | Stritch School of Medicine
