Mrs. Madeline Beatrice (Arey) Warner was born on March 4, 1905 in Clarendon Township, Michigan. She was the daughter of Norman H. And Jessie (Findley) Arey. On July 1, 1925, she married Leon H. Warner in White Pigeon, Michigan. Together they had ve children; Betty, Gerald, Carol, James and Delores.She went on to attend, and later graduate from Western Michigan University, majoring in English, but she taught all subjects. This book was written as an assignment while in college. While we aren’t sure the exact date it was written, our best guess would be sometime in the 1950s. She taught in the area schools for 25 years, the last 13 of which were in Burlington, Michigan.ABOUT THE AUTHOR
