Afterwards you will visit the LarcoHerrera Museum. Founded in 1926, the Larco Museum showcases remarkable chronologicalgalleries providing an excellent overview on 3000 years of development of Peruvian pre-Columbian history.Later in the afternoon we will escort you to The Magic Circuit of the Water which has theGuinness Book record to the largest fountain complex in the world, displaying 13 distinctfountains and many of those are interactive. Day 5 | Visit the lost city of the Incas – Machu PicchuIn the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the trainstation of Ollantaytambo in order to board the train for where yourjourney to Machu Picchu will begin. Once you arrive, you will beescorted by your guide and after a bus ride of 30min you will get tothe admission way of the magnificent Inca citadel. Then ascend stonesteps, through heavy tree cover to finally emerge at the top of theworld – Machu Picchu! Your expert guide will give you a private tour ofthe ancient city. Day 9 | Lake Titicaca’s Magical IslandsToday, you will visit Titicaca’s islands by boat. Lake Titicaca, at 12,500ft. above sea level is the world’s highest navigable lake. This means thateven when the sun shines, the wind can be chilly, so be sure to dresswarmly! Your boat will take you out through the bay of Puno, pastbanks of reeds to the incredible floating islands of Uros. For hundredsof years, the people living here have constructed these small islandsby hand from the local totora reed and they continually refresh theisland floor.HOTEL: Sonesta Posada PunoMEALS: Breakfast, LunchDay 10 | Return home We will bring you to the Cusco airport for your return flight to Lima. Your Lima host will meet youupon arrival and help you out with the check in process into your international flight back home. You will next motor to the large natural island of Taquile. Outside the Bay of Puno, Taquile seemsalmost Mediterranean, with grassy cliffs falling toward the blue water. The residents of the islandare incredibly friendly and will explain how their chullos (earflap hats) distinguish married menfrom those who are single!
