Synagogues are always dependent on philanthropy and you our congregation have been a wonderfully generous and supportive community keeping the spirit of Park Synagogue alive through good times and hard Now we find ourselves at a unique moment in the history of our synagogue as we reimagine our physical home We have moved twice from the inner city of Cleveland in our original home where the Jewish community was concentrated and again when we moved to Cleveland Heights following the migration of the Jewish community where we have been for almost 70 years This is the leadership moment for our generation of members a moment in which we are putting all our hopes and dreams for the future in a new campus a campus that we are creating together based on thoughtful input from clergy staff and all of you about how our new home should look feel and function as we look ahead for another long stretch of time This is our own moment in time a time to be visionary for the next generation and you have had so many creative and inspiring ideas for how to enrich a new vision for the future This vision could never be possible without the generosity from our lead gifts but it is a vision that can only be realized if we all each one of us contribute something to making it a reality This is our once in a lifetime opportunity to create a new home and an endowment to support all the spiritual emotional and intellectual activities that make a house of worship a home A once in a lifetime gift is just that a different kind of support than you give all the time This is our opportunity to join together to create something new that honors our past and inspires our future As a community we are stronger together and we need everyone joined together giving their utmost to make a new dream of a future a reality Please join us to make the new home of Park Synagogue an inspiring place of worship of solace of learning and of community we cannot do it without you SUSAN RATNER PRESIDENT

VERANDA Open Lobby VERANDA Conference Room Conservative Judaism is of utmost importance to me and this new improved campus is vital in keeping our congregation healthy vibrant and current It is a stepping stone to the future just as my parents Frida and David Robinson provided stepping stones for me by inculcating a love of conservative Judaism and a belief in philanthropy As they did for me so I want to do for future generations That is why I am so pleased to endow the Lois and Larry Davis Community Hall in our new building a stepping stone to our future at Park Synagogue my spiritual home LOIS DAVIS

LEAD GIFT Sydell and Arnold Miller Campus Park Synagogue is central in the story of our family where generations have gone to worship to socialize to learn and grow to participate to give back and to celebrate life cycle events When I look back at my life learning about Judaism and our traditions I think about the many happy memories and important moments that took place at Park Synagogue starting with Sunday School and Park Day Camp My family s history is long and meaningful at Park I m honored to be a 4th generation Park member and my children 5th generation members My mother Sydell Miller sister Stacie Halpern and her husband Jeff and my husband Steve Spilman and I know of no greater honor to the blessed memory of my father grandparents and greatgrandparents than to make this significant lead gift honoring the past present and future generations This gift is about perpetuating Jewish life at Park I feel strongly that central to our Jewish life is our synagogue It doesn t matter if you come once a year for High Holidays or if you participate in services and programming daily When it s time to celebrate a wedding or B nai Mitzvah Park is ready to celebrate and help us at every step When life gives us lemons or when loved ones die our synagogue is always ready to help us guide us and support us While it may be something many of us take for granted Park and our clergy are here for us 365 days a year Our family wants to help ensure Park has the space and facilities to provide programming to members at every age and every stage of life for now and for future generations Pepper Pike is now truly the location of our Park home and we must help it grow to meet our needs It s the members that make a community the people who bring it to life and all of us participating and coming together that make it thrive Park needs all of us now doing our part what we can to make this vision a reality Please make Park Synagogue a priority in your giving especially this year and every year you can If we don t who will Photo Credit Luis Alvarez LAUREN SPILMAN Sydell Miller center with her family Lauren Steve Alana and Max Spilman Stacie Jeffrey Linne and Austin Halpern
