Lori & Steve Raichilson
Please tell us a little about
yourselves:
We have lived in Cleveland
for almost 32 years. Lori
grew up in New Jersey,
and Steve in Bualo, New
York. We met in Princeton,
New Jersey on a blind date
and moved to Cleveland
when Steve became CEO of
Menorah Park (a position
he retired from recently).
Steve continues to consult
in healthcare, and Lori works with senior adults in assisted
living facilities helping with memory and cognition
skills through her program, Brain Aerobics. We have
three grown sons who live in New York, New Jersey and
California.
What made you decide to join Park?
Since we’re not originally from Cleveland, we’ve
been looking for a place that feels like “home” with
a congregation that feels like “family. We attended a
Shabbat morning service to support our friends and Park
members, Penny and Bob Greenberger, who had invited
presenters from a learning center they are involved with
in India. When Rabbi Sko made Steve sing a solo during
Adon Olam at the end of the service, he won Steve over.
We thought the service was fun, and we thought it would
be fun to become members of Park, too!

Connect with your Jewish Heritage!
Conrmation is a great way for students to discover
their Jewish identity and build community through
learning, volunteering, traveling and having fun together.
Conrmation provides teens the opportunity to explore
dierent ideas about Judaism and integrate them into
their life as they grow into adulthood. They will discuss
thoughts and beliefs about God, our traditions, Jewish
values and Israel. Conrmation encourages our next
generation to take their places as leaders in our
community.
You can nd more information or register online:
https://www.parksynagogue.org/conrmation.
As camp is winding down with so many fun experiences I
want to thank the teachers and Lynn Garner of course , but
also our amazing teen volunteers!
Next its time to gear up for fall!
The sta and children will get a little break as the
classrooms get scrubbed and polished and ready for our
new school year! Parents who placed their deposits should
have received their enrollment packets by now. Please ll
these out and return to the oce as soon as possible. Once
they have been received your child will be placed on their
classrooms roster .
Most of our classrooms are pretty full, but we do have some
openings in our 18 month old classroom. If you you know
anyone interested please have them call and schedule a
visit .
I’m looking forward to such an exciting year lled with both
new and familiar faces in both sta and students!
So many amazing adventures ahead for our young learners

CH-UH School
Supplies Project
Park Synagogue Sisterhood is again partnering with the
Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District
to provide new school supplies to elementary school
children who cannot aord them. Because the need
is so great throughout the entire system, Sisterhood
will be aiding OXFORD, NOBLE, BOULEVARD, FAIRFAX,
GEARITY, CANTERBURY and ROXBORO elementary
schools. The schools' social workers will distribute the
donated supplies to the students when and where they
are needed.
Your help is greatly appreciated. We have a drop-o
bin at Park Synagogue East. All items must be new
and unused. These are the items that are needed:
Help us fulfill this Mitzvah.
Thank you!
