Techniques will focus on skin augmentation and rotational ap coverage for the lower extremity that can be translated into practice. All faculty are Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeons that are active members of the OTA with extensive experience in soft tissue coverage. Entire course takes place in a skills lab.LEARNINGOBJECTIVESUpon successful completion of the 2024 Soft Tissue Coverage Skills, participants will be able to: 1. Understand options and indications for soft tissue coverage of lower extremity.2. Gain skills in dermal regeneration. 3. Gain skills in rotational ap coverage of the lower extremity.PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The OTA Soft Tissue Coverage Skills Course is a hands-on skills lab to teach Orthopaedic Trauma surgeons techniques in soft tissue coverage. Techniques will focus on skin augmentation and rotational ap coverage for the lower extremity without the need for loupes, microscopes, or microvascular techniques that can be translated into practice.All faculty are Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeons that are active members of the OTA with extensive experience in soft tissue cover age.
