THE OSAGE CLASSIC GREENBRIAR HILLS COUNTRY CLUB SEPTEMBER 14 15 16 Welcome to Greenbriar Hills and the 2023 Osage Classic Invitational We are delighted to have you with us and we sincerely wish you a great golfing experience here at Greenbriar Hills Country Club This booklet of information will hopefully answer some of the questions you may have about the Club and the competition The Osage Classic at Greenbriar is a 4 Ball Round Robin Match Play format Three matches are played on Friday and two matches are played on Saturday followed by a Shoot Out to determine the Overall Osage Classic Champions Teams are flighted based on combined team index and each team will play a 9 hole match against all other teams within their Flight

Osage Classic 2023 Tournament Competition 10 flights comprised of 6 teams each 9 hole round robin match play within your flight Each player will receive 100 of their respective 9 hole course handicap based off of the Thursday September 7th revision rounded to the nearest 1 2 stroke All players MUST have an official handicap from GHIN Diablo Golf etc or that player will be assigned a 0 handicap based on U S G A rules Strokes for each match will be allocated based off the player with the lowest adjusted 9 hole course handicap who will play from scratch Due to different slope ratings on the front and back nine a player s 9 hole course handicap may vary based on the side they are playing Match scorecards reflecting handicap strokes will be prepared in advance and distributed prior to each match In the event that you your partner or both experience an injury or other event causing one or both to not be able to play a match you or your partner must play that match alone or you must forfeit the remaining holes if both cannot play regardless of how many holes remain Points are determined each hole by the one best net score Points are accumulated over the five matches as follows Team A defeats Team B one up Team A is 1 Team B 1 Team C defeats Team D two up Team C is 2 Team D is 2 Team E defeats Team F three up Team E is 3 Team F is 3 No team can win or lose more than three points per match In the event of a flight tie after matches are completed the tie breaker will be their head to head match If still tied the winner will be determined with a chip off on 18 immediately following the final match All four players participate with the one ball closest to the hole the winner Each of the flight winners plus three wild card teams will advance to a 13 team alternate shot Shoot Out to determine the overall Osage Classic Champion The first Wild Card spot will go to the team with the highest point total for 5 rounds that did not win their Flight The second Wild Card spot will go to the team with the highest point total for Saturday only and did not qualify for the 1st Wild Card spot The third Wild Card spot will go to the team with the second highest point total for Saturday only and did not qualify for the other 2 Wild Card spots Wild Card ties will be broken by a chip off on hole 18

2023 Osage Classic RULES OF PLAY USGA RULES SHALL GOVERN ALL PLAY EXCEPT AS MODIFIED BY THE FOLLOWING LOCAL RULES All players will play from the Blue Tees Short Blue on 12 Range finders may be used during play but slope functions must be turned off OUT OF BOUNDS Defined by the inside edge of white stakes and perimeter fence posts at ground level RED PENALTY AREAS Defined by red lines and stakes When both are present the lines govern the margin of the penalty area YELLOW PENALTY AREAS Defined by yellow lines and stakes When both are pre sent the lines govern the margin of the penalty area GROUND UNDER REPAIR Defined by white lines TALL NATIVE GRASSES Played as red penalty areas with the margin defined by the change in the cut of grass In the event of cancellation due to rain or lightning the leader after the last completed 9 hole match will be considered the winner in each flight Any ties will chip off to determine the winner In case of a dispute of the rules please play 2 balls and report to a member of the rules committee following play RULES COMMITTEE GREENBRIAR GOLF PROFESSIONAL STAFF PLEASE KEEP PACE WITH THE GROUP AHEAD OF YOURS IF A HOLE OPENS UP AHEAD OF YOUR GROUP YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SPEED UP PLAY

OSAGE SHOOT OUT COMPETITION All flight winners plus 3 wild card teams will compete in the Shoot Out The Shoot Out begins on hole 7 then proceeds to 8 9 11 and ends on 12 play ing an alternate shot format with alternating tee shots Each team must designate a player A to hit the first tee shot Player B will tee off on the 2nd hole and so on Team elimination will go as follows 5 teams will be eliminated on Hole 7 IF YOU HIT IT IN THE WATER ON 7 YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY ELIMINATED 4 teams will be eliminated on Hole 8 1 teams will be eliminated on Hole 9 1 team will be eliminated on Hole 11 Final 2 teams will play Hole 12 to determine the Overall Osage Classic Champion In the event of a tie they will play hole 12 again If still tied they will play hole 7 and closest to the pin will serve as the tie breaker Elimination ties prior to hole 12 will be decided with a chip off involving all team members The closest ball s to the hole will determine which team s will advance The ball will be played as it lies and all putts within 24 inches are good measured with the Pro s putter PRACTICE ROUND SHOOT OUT COMPETITION The top 16 teams plus ties from the practice round will move on to compete in an Alternate Shot Shoot Out centered around the Halfway Cafe The Pros have designed a special par 3 cross country course consisting of 4 holes that can all be viewed from the friendly confines of the Halfway Caf for those that didn t make it in The format is Alternate Shot alternating drives with the guests teeing off on the 1st hole All ties will be determined by closest to the pin on the tee shot The holes are as follows 1 Hole 12 White Tee to Hole 7 Green 2 Hole 4 Whte Tee to Hole 3 Green 3 Hole 4 Green Tee to Hole 6 Green 4 Hole 13 Blue Tee to Hole 7 Green 70 Yards 100 Yards 135 Yards 165 Yards ELIMINATION Automatic elimination if tee shot goes in the water on the 1st Hole We will narrow the field down to the final 3 for the last hole The number of teams eliminated will be announced prior to the first tee shot based on the size of the field due to potential ties

2023 Osage Classic Wagering OSAGE CLASSIC PRIZING CASH ONLY 38 of the field is guaranteed a payout Each team is required to pay 500 team CASH ONLY that will be paid out per the amounts below OSAGE CHAMPION FUTURE WAGER All teams have an additional chance to win All teams who correctly select the Flight that the Overall Shootout Winner competed in will split this portion of the purse 6 000 Selections must be made by 8 00am Friday prior to Match 1 OSAGE CLASSIC PAYOUTS FLIGHT WINNERS 60 of total pot 1ST PLACE 1200 2ND PLACE 500 Wild Cards 300 SHOOT OUT WINNERS Remaining 6000 1ST PLACE 3000 2ND PLACE 1800 3RD PLACE 1200 PRACTICE ROUND WAGERING 50 ENTRY CASH ONLY SHOOT OUT CHAMPIONS 70 SHOOT OUT RUNNERS UP 30 PUTTING CONTESTS ENTRY FEE PAYOUTS CASH ONLY Entry Fee 20 per team per round All participants who are entered into the putting contest on Friday Payouts determined based on number of teams entered WINNER TAKE ALL
