“YES to YOUTH taught me to be condent in myself. Anxiety used to force me to remain silent but I learned to use my voice, to speak louder so that others could hear my voice and I could say what I wanted to say without fear. I learned that fear is just a thought, I can control my emotions, and I can change my negative thoughts into positive thoughts. YES to YOUTH helped me feel more secure.” - BridgeWay Resident“I was a resident at BridgeWay two times, and it was amazing. My counselor helped me so much throughout my stay. He placed me with my childhood therapist. The staff members were amazing. They treated us like humans and there was never a boring day. Whether it was a fun day at home or an Astros game they always found ways for us to feel like we had a sense of normalcy in our lives.” - Former BridgeWay Resident“Thank you for all you do, helping our families with our greatest challenge in life as parents, if only there were more programs such as this. As a mom, I came to realize how hard it is to be a mom and not compare parenting styles and bend to the strains of social media.” - Parenting Group MemberPAGE 5 |

WORD FROM OUR BOARD CHAIRDear Friends of YES to YOUTH,As Board Chair, I want to thank all of you for your commitment and support of YES to YOUTH – Montgomery County Youth Services. Your generosity allows us to give emergency shelter, food and clothing to homeless youth in our community and provide counseling for children and families in crisis. These services include addressing a variety of mental health issues, suicide prevention and our 24-hour Crisis Hotline. This past year, YES to YOUTH had a record-breaking year. The amazing ladies of YES to YOUTH celebrated 20 years of Ladies Night Out with a Roaring Twenties themed party at The Cynthia Woodlands Mitchell Pavilion. We hosted approximately 700 guests at our 2018 YES to YOUTH Gala and together raised over $700,000. We also counseled and saved more youth than ever before.YES to YOUTH – Montgomery County Youth Services is celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2019 as a nonprot organization that remains dedicated to its goal of improving the lives of youth and their families in our community. We have very exciting goals for 2019 and beyond. We are expanding the current BridgeWay Emergency Youth Shelter to double the number of youth we will serve. We will be building a boy’s cottage and a girl’s cottage to house 15 youth in each. When we have the cottages fully built, we will completely renovate our current shelter to become a multipurpose building that will include a commercial style kitchen, dining area, family room, library and staff ofces.2018 was an amazing year for YES to YOUTH. With your continued support, I know we will achieve even more in 2019 and move forward in our vision of being a child’s bridge from challenges today to achievements tomorrow.Thank you for saying “YES” to our Youth.Sincerely,Greg Freede, Board Chair| PAGE 6

A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEODear YES to YOUTH family,You continue to amaze me with the support you have given to YES to YOUTH – Montgomery County Youth Services. Our donors, volunteers, staff and funders are truly remarkable. For nearly forty years you have saved the lives of youth in our community. You have offered a safe haven to children who have been beaten, battered, abused and even sex-trafcked. Because of you, we have been able to offer a crisis hotline 24 hours per day, 365 days per year to youth that want to talk, cry, ask questions, celebrate victories and sometimes just have someone listen to them.2018 was a record breaking year for us. Our YES to YOUTH gala recorded the organization’s largest attendance and revenue. We are forever grateful. Our mental health counseling program for youth and families continues to grow as we make mental health something we all should be talking about. Our goal of making mental health a dinner table topic is working because of you. We continue to make counseling available as we offer our services at no cost to the client. We are standing rm with our goal to completely eliminate teen suicide in Montgomery County.Last year our residential emergency youth shelter remained full and we had to turn away over 1200 children who needed our services. The Board of Directors voted to begin our SAY YES Capital Campaign in 2019. Our goal is to double our impact and serve more youth who need emergency shelter. We will continue to save the lives of the children we serve. You offer hope and a new beginning. Our shelter resident children pass from the darkest of days to a new beginning, free of abuse and neglect. We believe in you. Thank you for believing in us. Sincerely,Dannette Suding, CEO| PAGE 10
