We all drove up toSalem to work in-persontogether, which was far away, but well worth it. Working on this projectwas definitely a challenge, making the canvas looklike cave art that acaveman 20,000 years agopainted. Either way it wasfun though. - Calvin M.Gathering the materials took almost aday of foraging just to find the moss, lichen, sticks, dead ferns, and smallrough flat rocks. She was crucial in helping several Civil Rights organizations to makea difference for the human race as we know it. Famous of course for herMontgomery bus boycott.Women have been oppressed for a long time, but thanks to women’sperseverance, we were able to take back their freedom. We only left societiescookie cutter idea of a woman fairly recent ago and so many of those ideas stillhold weight in modern times. Many women aren’t as fortunate and continue tofight for their right’s in other countries. Ruth Bader Ginsberg, was the second woman and first Jewish woman toserve on the supreme court. She left her lasting legacy in the governmentduring 1993-2000. She pushed many laws that helped gender equality! If you’d like to check out some Asian women who break boundariesin art some of my recommendations are: Margaret Corbin was the first ever woman to get military pension. She was a tough woman. She dressed as a man along side her husbandduring the Revolutionary War. She tended to the camps, woundedsoldiers, and would even help fire cannons with her husband and tookover when he died.Cui Xiuwen. Adulting TipsIf you plant too early or too late, productivity will be reduced. It is important that you plant at the right time of year for eachcrop for optimum yield. Temperature is probably the mostimportant climatic factor that affects the success of yourgarden. Here’s a chart of when you should plant and harvestyour vegetables and fruits.A companion plant is a plant that benefits the other plants around them. Forexample, if you plant lettuce next to tomatoes it will create a ground cover, keeping the soil moist for the tomato plant. On the other hand, if you plantpotatoes next to them then the 2 plants will compete for more nutrients andthey are more susceptible to blight.Word, Research, & Layout by Carli KKWhat is Blight?Blight is a plant disease that is typically caused by fungi.
