Olney RFC rugby tales, anecdotesand history articles required.Born in 1877 and still going strong. In 2027 the club will be celebrating its 150th anniversary as one of the oldest clubs in the Midlandsand North Bucks. In preparation for this historic milestone, we are attempting to update and fill inthe gaps of the club’s long history. The history of the club was last published for the opening of the clubhouse in 1988. We have nowunearthed many newspaper articles from the early days that provide further insight to the clubover the years. We are now looking for additional material, particularly from the last 50 years. If youhave cuttings, old photographs etc. that we could borrow and scan, please let us know. The updated history of the club could be supplemented with Olney rugby club stories, anecdotes, memories that would be good to share before they are forgotten. Tours, Caribbean nights at theterrapin clubhouse, use of changing rooms at the Two Brewers are all ripe for inclusion. We cannotpromise that we will use everything, and we do reserve the right to edit!If you have any material that may be of interest, please talk to or email Tom Wintertom.winter50@btinternet.com . He will be pleased to hear from you.#TheOLNEYWay#TheOLNEYWayClub News
